Today, when the air-raid sirens went off again in Jerusalem, I found myself wondering what on earth do the inhabitants of Sderot and the other towns on the border with the Gaza Strip do about their pets when they have a Code Red (incoming missiles) alert. They have only 15 seconds to reach a shelter or a Secure Space. How do you even find a cat who could be on a cupboard, in a cupboard, under a bed, chair, sofa - much less persuade said feline to enter the nearest shelter - in such a short space of time?
Ah well, to get back to the subject in hand, I thought I'd show you my little black panther exploring her new home :-) Enjoy - I do. And I'm sure she does too...
A nice, comfortable bed...
It's always good to have a panoramic view. That way, we can keep an eye on all the neighbours.
The sooner we get this computer thing figured out, the sooner we can start writing our own blog.
Time to play...
Not for nothing am I known as the Black Panther!
What's this? Ah, salad!
Two cats are better than one...

Love, love, love her tail! She's a lovely panther.
One of our news channels was talking with someone early this AM who had moved to the danger area last year, I believe. (Probably dual Canadian citizenship.) She was saying they had 90 seconds to get to shelter or to take cover in a stairwell, and I thought the same, how would one round up kitties? A dog would be easier to corral and take to safety, but a cat? :-(
We hope you are/will be safe.
I hope you will be safe. This is frightening and almost surreal seeming. Trixie darling, keep an eye out for mommy and listen to what she says. You are a beautiful panther girl and your tail is a song waiting to be sung..a paean of praise to be sung. A glory to show to all of your admirers, us.
Trixie is beautiful! And we love that she is as curious and mischievous (in a good way, of course) as young kittehs so often are. :)
We are purring and praying for your safety. I can't even begin to imagine what that must be like.
If Trixie needs a companion, I know of someone who is leaving Israel next year and needs to find a loving home for her cat, Tom! Trixie seems right at home :) Keep safe x
Dear Trixie,
I am not sure whether your Hebrew is as good as your English so I`m writing in your mother tongue.
Just to let you know that you are a magnificent black panther indeed, and I wish you many years of happy mischief! (don`t let your mommy see that...)

Thank you for wishing us a happy Thanksgiving.
Trixie has the prettiest tail. My sister had a black panther boy who climbed among her glassware on the very top. He never knocked any off. And he came down carefully when asked too. She also taught him to say 'Mama'.
I do pray that you and Trixie will always be safe.
God bless Israel and all her inhabitants, such a scary time. We were happy to hear there is a ceasefire today.
You are an unusual black panther with your tabby tail :)
Stay safe and be careful what flowers you eat...
