Caspurr's Summertime Caturday Art and Sunday Selfie

Hallo again, Effurryone!

We wish you all Shavua Tov (a Good Week) and We hope and purray that you and your Humans have been staying safe and keeping that horrible Coronavirus at bay!

Last week,
the night between Furrsday and Furiday, We went over to Summertime and the clocks went forward by one hour. For some reason, Mummy seemed to think that meant it was all right for her to be an hour late with Our Breakfast! On Furiday morning, We came to Mummy at 7 a.m. as usual,  and clustered round the bed, expecting to be fed. But no! That lazy human Sleepy Mummy tried to make excuses, claiming that although the clocks said it was 7 a.m. it was still really only 6 a.m. according to "Nature's Clock".

NOT ACCEPTABLE, Human!  You have told Us, time and time again, that Breakfast is at 7 a.m. Now you are trying to wriggle out of your Commitments and serve Us breakfast at 8 a.m. - and you think you can put one over on Us by claiming that 8 a.m. is the new 7 a.m.???

Think again!

Very well. WE are ready to compromise. 7:30 a.m. from now on - and not one minute later.

Now, what is on the Menu?

And that reminds Us, while We are on the subject of Food - We hope you have planned ahead and got in enough kitty food and kitty litter to get through the next couple of months, at least - just in case there are interruptions in deliveries due to the Lockdown!

Lockdown is a Good Thing for Us Felines, as it means Mummy isn't off gallivanting to her Caterwauling Club or to her lectures or to her daytrips all over the country. It means We get to curl up with her while She binges on escapist TV series, or watches really old Classic Movies on MewTube. That is what I, Caspurr, am doing in this picture:

Now, back to today's business. It is Sunday, and that means We are taking part in the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by Our Dear Furriends, the Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.  It is My Turn this week and I think the above picture is just purrfect for that. So, here is the blog hop badge:

In addition, Mummy artified the picture, using LunaPic's Flames Effect at 61% or thereabouts:

This will be Our Entry in the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie.

Here is their badge:

Now, before We go, We want to remind you all to keep snoopervising your Humans, and make sure they do not go out anywhere unless it is Absolutely Necessary, and that they keep a Safe Distance from each other.

Stay well. Stay safe.

See you next week.

Trixie's Caturday Corona Art and Blue World Sunday Selfie

Hallo, Effurrybody!

I would like to wish you all Shavua Tov (a Good Week) - and I do wish it. However, there is no denying that these are hard times for us all, kitties and humans alike. This horrible Coronavirus is spreading all around the world, making lots of humans sick and many have even been called to their own Rainbow Bridge.
As of tonight, there are 945 COVID-19 patients in Israel and although only one has died so far, that can't be expected to continue - besides which, the recovery rate in Israel seems to be lower than most of the rest of the world.

We hope and purray that YOUR humans are safe and well. We must look after them and make sure that, as well as staying healthy, they also stay cheerful. Of course, that doesn't always work. MY Mummy, for example, has been getting furry depressed these last few days. I have even noticed her eyes leaking quite a lot.  Caspurr and Shimshi try to distract her by being furry, furry naughty, so She won't have time to think about anything else, but I am afraid that only makes her more upset. She says that She has enough to worry about these days, without their shenanigans. She, herself, is not sick but the government has issued emergency regulations and no-one is allowed to go out, except to buy essential items such as food and medicine, or to receive medical treatment, or to work in essential occupations, or a few other things (such as taking part in demonstrations, of all things!!! And also to take one's woofies for a walk). But even before the "recommendations" became "regulations", She was scared to go out for fear of catching this Dreadful Bug and now, She is afraid She will be spending the Seder night all on her own, because although She has plenty of family in Jerusalem, nobody is supposed to be going out of their own home, to reduce the risk of infection.

So I, Queen Trixie,  have decided to dedicate our entry in the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, to "feeling blue".

And here is the blog hop badge:

Below, you can see the original photo, with which We are taking part in the Sunday Selfies blog hope, hosted by the Kitties Blue (no pun intended) and their HuMom, Janet:

As you can see, I am looking wistful and pensive in this pawtrait, in solidarity with Mummy.

Mummy misses her caterwauling club and her archaeological field trips and her Bible and Mewsic lectures, and now She just heard on the news that there may very likely soon be a total curfew, like in Italy.

It is so miserable, you might be pardoned for fur-getting that yesterday was officially the furrst day of Spring!

Now, We must help Mummy have another go at making one more attempt at placing her online Pessach (Passover) order with the supermarket. She spent HOURS trying to do that this afternoon and then, just when she got to the checkout point, something went wrong and now, She doesn't know whether her order went through or not!!!  Tomorrow, We hope to have more time to visit all Our Furriends.

Keep well, stay safe and look after your Humans. We love you all.

Shimshi's EPIDEMIC Selfie and Caturday Art

Greetings, Effurrybuddies!

We wish you all Shavua Tov (a Good Week), but there is no denying that this is a furry worrying time for all of Us, with this horrid Corona virus thingie spreading all over the World.  We don't know if kitties can catch it, but We have heard that it originally spread from animals, so maybe it can also spread BACK!?

Here in Israel, it is not as bad as in some other places, but We do have about 200 people who are sick and nobody knows how many more are walking around carrying the virus, without showing symptoms. We are not yet in complete lockdown, as in Italy, or Spain, but the government has banned gatherings of more than 10 people in any one closed space, and ordered the closure of schools and places of entertainment, including cafes and bars, in order to slow down the rate of contagion.  People have also been advised to keep travel on public transport to a minimum.
On the bright side - that means that Our Humans will be at home and able to spend more time ministering to Us (mol).

My fursibs and I want to do our bit, and so here am I, the Mighty Shimshon (Shimshi for short) a.k.a. The Little Purrince, Guardian of the Queen's Mischiefs and Captain of the Guard, on the lookout for any stray viruses that might be lurking in Our Palace. We don't actually know what a Virus looks like, and Mummy says they are too tiny to be seen without a Miaow-crow-scope, but We are going to try, anyway!

This picture, in which I, the Captain of the Guard, am furry alert, and leading the Palace Patrol, is Our Entry in the Sunday Selfies blog hop hosted by the Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

In addition, We are (belatedly) joining the Caturday Art blog hop hosted by the beauteous and wise Athena and her HuMum, Marie.

Mummy decided that since this horrid virus is affecting the Whole, Wide World - and, in the process, proving what a small world it really is - We would use the Tiny World effect from LunaPic.

We wonder if maybe the Virus was sent by the Great Cat in the Sky to test Us and see if We can learn to work Together, to defeat it. What do you think?

Meanwhile, keep well, look after yourselves - and look after your Humans.
And remember - if We stick together, and look out for one another, We CAN beat this thing.

May the Great Cat in the Sky watch over you and bless you all.

Caturday Art - Happy Birthday, Caspurr!

Hallo, Effurryone!

Welcome to My Birthday Pawty!

It was horrid and rainy all day yesterday and this meowning also looked pretty overcast and grey, but by the afternoon, it had all cleared up and so We didn't need to transfurr My Pawty indoors. We might still do so later, of course, because it's going to be an all-nighter and the tempurratures have already dropped quite a bit, now that the sun has gone down.

Meanwhile, We have been having lots of Fun here in the Enchanted Forest. There's still plenty of food and drink, so those of you who are latecomers won't be missing out. Help yourselves to some catmint juleps, some nip cocktails, tuna pie, salmon quiche, chick-hen nuggets, trout terrine, cream cake or mice cream. There's plenty for all.

I had a good long rest after Lunch, so as to be ready for this All-Night Pawty. Mummy came and disturbed Me with her Flashy Box, while I was enjoying My Sun-Puddle, so I got up and roared at her, like the Tigger-Tabby King I am, and showed her My Fangs, but She knows I wouldn't really hurt her, so She just laughed and turned the picture, which came out a bit blurry, because I was on the Move, into Our Entry in the Caturday Art blog hop hosted by the Beautiful and Wise Cat Goddess, Athena, and her HuMum, Marie.

She used her favourite LunaPic to do it - the Paper Folding Art at 63% and then the Water Filter at 78%.

Before I sign off, I want to remind you all that We are having yet another pawty later this week, on Tuesday, at 6 pm Israel time, to celebrate Pawrim - and that the Pawrim Pawty is a Fancy Dress Pawty. We think the more pawties, the better! Don't you agree?

So Shavua Tov (a Good Week) to you all, enjoy this pawty and We are all looking forward to seeing you in Fancy Dress later this week. Don't forget to share pictures of yourselves in costume.

Now, here is the Bloggie Badge:

And off We go!

Save The Date! Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Greetings, Effurrybody!

Our repurresentative this week, for both the Caturday Art blog hop, (hosted by the wise and beautiful cat goddess, Athena, and her HuMum, Marie) and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, (hosted by the fabulous Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet) is the One and Only ME - Queen Trixie, Furrst of My Name, Empurress of Jerusalem, Israel and the Entire Middle East, Queen of Hearts, Guardian of the Boudoir, Alpha Kitty Extraordinaire!

I have chosen this beautiful picture of ME, which showcases My dainty Paws, My fur-midable Fangs, My snorgleable (by Invitation Only) Tummy, and My Magnificent Floofy Tail. As I am, essentially, a furry modest Kitty, I won't even mention the glimpse you can get of My jewel-like Eyes (of which you will have to be contented with one, only). I don't like to boast, you see (mol, mol, mol).

Mummy took this picture and artified it, using LunaPic. Since She is getting on a bit, and going more gaga by the day becoming somewhat forgetful, She can't remember which of the arty effects She chose.

Now, before We set off on Our two blog hops, We want to remind all Our Furriends and Anipals that next Shabbat, March 7th, is Caspurr's 7th birthday, and that three days after that, it will be PURIM.  As you know, We often merge two or more celebrations into one, so as to have them fall during the weekend, in order to make it easier for more anipals to attend, but as it has been quite a while since We gave a pawty, and since two pawties are better than one, and since it is a Mewish tradition not to mingle celebrations, We shall be celebrating Caspurr's birthday on Shabbat and Purim on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 10th. Both pawties will start at 6 pm. Israel Time and take place in (where else?) the Enchanted Forest, unless it rains. If that happens, co-ordinates for an Alternative Location will be sent directly to your Teleport Devices. Those of you who have not yet done so, are invited to register your Teleport Devices with Our Communication and Navigation Centre, to enable Us to send you updates in the event of such eventualities as described above.

Do not fur-get. The Purim pawty is a COSTUME pawty. You are supposed to come in Fancy Dress. And since it is also a custom to get drunk on Purim (don't ask Me why), there will be plenty of nip cocktails and other such stuff.

Are there any volunteers to help set up and run the Bar (mol)?

Alright, effurryone. It's time to blog hop! See you at the pawties!
