Shimshi's Sunny Sunday Selfie

Hallo again, Effurrybuddies!

Shavua Tov (a Good Week) to you all!

It's Sunday again, and time to join the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop hosted by the Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet

As We are furry disciplined (mol) and take things strictly in turn, Our Repurresentative this week is ME, The Mighty Shimshon (a.k.a. The Little Purrince) or Shimshi to My Furriends and Furrmily, Master of the Queen's Mischief, and Captain of the Guard.

Our choice of picture this week is this pawtrait of Me taken a couple of days ago, when Mr. Sunshine decided to put in an appurrence, in consequence of which, We had some furry impurressive sun puddles.  In fact, they were so impurressive that Mummy had to lower the blinds. If I remember aright, We were all three of Us reclined on the living-room sofa, but while Trixie and Caspurr were napping, I was taking MY Duties as the Master of the Queen's Mischief furry seriously (as I always do!) and Planning Something.

The weather has been furry funny this month. Days of torrential skywater, followed by clear blue skies, then partially cloudy skies, days when the Weather Guessers have said it would rain, but it didn't and days when Mummy's weather app in her phone said it would remain dry and sunny - only they were wrong!

Mummy says that's what it's like at the end of Winter, when Spring is just around the corner. And it is just around the corner, because the almond trees are already in blossom, and the geraniums in Mummy's window boxes are also coming into flower. So it can't be long now.

We also have news of Our Auntie, Mummy's Sister, the one who had an opurration on her hip on Mew Year's Day. She has now mostly recovered and is back at Work - half days only, supposedly, to begin with.

We have to wrap this up now, because Mummy needs the computer to write her own blog, about her gallivanting around the country. She gallivanted at the beginning of the month and She'll be gallivanting again later this week and you can read all about it in her blog, which is called The View From The Palace.

SO furrst of all, here is the Cat On My Head blog hop badge:

And off We go:

Caspurr's Blissful Caturday Artsy Selfie

Hallo there, Effurryone and Shavua Tov (a Good Week) to you all!

We started the week with Tu b'Shvat (which was furry, furry cold and pouring with rain) and ended with Valentine's Day, which was sunny and considerably warmer. Now it is getting cold again and they say We are in for more Skywater, so I expect We shall be spending lots of time in Mummy's Pampering Parlour, enjoying lots of head scritches and chin scritches and snorgles - and, most impawtant of all, SNUGGLING, as I am doing in this picture below:

Mummy thought the look of Bliss on My Face was so adorable that she decided to artify it, using the Paper Artist app on her phone, and Voila!

I'm not sure I care for the artified version, actually. It makes My Whiskers look funny!

What do YOU think?

Anyway, this is going to be Our Entry in this week's Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful  Athena and her HuMum, Marie.

Here is their Badge:

And off We go - but before We do, We would like to thank all of you who sent condolences on the passing away of Mummy's auntie, who is now at The Bridge with all the kitties and woofies she took care of during her 90 human years here on earth.

And now - off We REALLY go!

Trixie's Queen of Hearts Sunday Selfie for Valentine's Day

Greetings, Effurrybody!

Today, I, Queen Trixie, Furrst of My Name, Empurress of Jerusalem, Israel and the Entire Middle East, Guardian of the Boudoir, Alpha Kitty Extraordinaire, have received yet another title, in honour of St. Valentine's Day - Queen of Hearts.

In deference to my new title, I have been unanimously elected by Mummy and my fursibs, to represent the entire Furrmily in both the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Beautiful and Wise Athena and her HuMum, Marieand the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

Before I post the pictures, I must tell you that We had some furry sad news on Wednesday. Mummy's auntie, the one who lives in Ashkelon and who had to take cover effurry time the Bad Humans in the Gaza Strip would shoot rocket boomies into Israel, passed away last week at the age of 90 Human Years. As you may recall, for years, Great-Auntie Dorle used to feed dozens of homeless kitties in her garden. She will be greatly missed. But We take comfort in the thought that there will be many kitties waiting to greet her on The Other Side - and woofies too, because when she was younger and in better health, she used to have doggies living with her.

Now, it is time to post my pictures.  You may notice I have company sharing my sunpuddle - Mr. Edward Bear and Snowy, the Seal. I like to snuggle up with them when it gets cold (and believe Me, despite the sunpuddle, it was COLD). Of course, I prefurr snuggling with Mummy, but She is not always available for snuggling, alas.

This is the original picture, intended for the Sunday Selfies blog hop:

And here is my Valentine's Day art, for the beauteous Athena's Caturday Art blog hop:

Mummy used  PhotoFunia to create this last picture.

Finally, before We set forth on the two Blog Hops, We would like, as usual, to wish you all Shavua Tov (a Good Week).

Caturday Art WIth The Mighty Shimshon (a.k.a. Shimshi)

Hallo again, Effurrybuddies!

Shavua Tov (a Good Week) to you all!

It has been furry cold all week so I, the Mighty Shimshon (a.k.a. Shimshi a.k.a. The Little Purrince), Master of the Queen's Mischiefs and Captain of the Guard, have been spending as much time as possible snuggled up (purrefurrably with Mummy), under a blanket on the sofa, or under the duvet on the bed, or on top of one of the radiators (no, Mummy doesn't sit on the radiators - MOL).

Here you can see Me prepurring to do just that:

Mummy has not been able to see much TV this week because her Digital Converter has gone on strike. Well, it might be more accurate to say it is Clinically Dead. She called the cable TV company last Sunday, when it was still in Critical Condition and in need of Intensive Care and they were supposed to call her back within an hour but She is still waiting! So She had more time free for reading. And, that being the case, I thought She should be reading about .......CATS! What else?!

All of which gave Us an idea for this week's entry in the Caturday Art Blog Hop hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie:

The pawtrait on the book cover is, naturally, of Myself (because it was MY Idea). Mummy used the Classic Book effect from PhotoFunia - another one of Her Favourites because it is one of the few "free" photo editing sites which really are free.

Several of you have asked after Mummy's Sister, who had an opurration on her hip. She is convalescing nicely, thank you - and She, too, has plenty of time for reading now, so when She visits  tomorrow, Mummy is going to take her a book - not about kitties, but about a woofie. It is called "The Jewish Dog" by Asher Kravitz. It tells the story of a dog born in Nazi Germany in 1935. The woofie is the beloved pet of a Jewish family, until the Nazis forbid Jews to have dogs. And then Caleb (or Coresh, as he is called in the original Hebrew) begins a life of wandering. Mummy read it in Hebrew, of course, but it is also available in English -and We warmly recommend it. Only make sure you have a large box of tissues handy when reading it.

Now, dear Furriends, it is time to join the Blog Hop and then I shall let My Petcretary (a.k.a. Mummy) go down to feed the Homeless Kitties before it starts raining again.

Wishing you all, once more, a Good Week.
