Hanukkah Is Here: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

 Hallo there, Effurryone!

Caspurr the Snuggle Bug is here again, to lead My Fellow J-Cats on this weekend's blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the sweet, Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet. Poor Ms. Janet has caught the Evil Mutant Ninja Coronavirus, so don't forget to send her Get Well Purrs, effurryone!

Here is My Selfie:

And here is the artified version, which We created using Lunapic's Dreaming filter, at 45%:

As you can see, I was enjoying one of my Favourite Snuggle Spots, under the duvet.

This evening, Mewish cats and their Humans will be lighting the furrst Hanukkah candle on the Menorah. Hanukkah is one of Our Favourite festivals, because We can look forward to treats EFFURRY DAY, for EIGHT WHOLE DAYS!

But Hanukkah does have some sad meowmories for Mummy also, because it was eleven years ago at Hanukkah that Angel Pixie flew away to the Rainbow Bridge. That was on December 23rd - and it was a Friday, just as it is this year too.

To honour Precious Pixie, here is a picture of her, taken on April 3rd 2011 - before she got so sick with kidney disease.

Like Me, she was a beautiful Tigger-Tabby (although, in character, she was more like Trixie):

In her honour, We have created a lovely, artified pawtrait of her, using LunaPic's Beauty filter, which so becomes that sweet face, at 70%:

We wanted to include a picture of Our Woofie Uncle Messi, too - but he has no time for selfies this evening. He is glued to the TeeVee screen watching the World Cup Final between Argentina and France. No prizes for guessing which side he is supporting (mol)!

Mummy also wants to watch the rest of the match, so We shall cut this short now.

Here are the blog hop badges:

In addition, We want to mention that We are also joining this year's Blessing Train, hosted by Our Good Furriends RaenaBelle, Zebby and their Mommy Audra:

Happy Hanukkah to Effurryone. And, in case some of you are too busy to post next Sunday, which happens to be Chrissymouse, We wish you all a Meowy Chrissymouse too!

Be well. Be safe. We love you all.

We loved seeing that photo of Angel Pixie. And your selfie is so handsome, Caspurr!

Chag Sameach, dear friends. XO

Happy Hanukkah to you all!
My, someone does look nice and cosy!
Your selfies past and present do you much justice and the artwork supreme. Enjoy the match, though I think chasing balls around is best left to us cats and dogs. ;)

Dear Caspurr, you look excellent in your duvet. So comfy and warm and since it is now getting colder by the minute here, I too look fur warmth. Angel Pixie was most certainly a picture of beauty and calm. We wish you Happy Hanukkah and hope you find an extra good treat each of the eight days. Precious

Purrs to you on Angel Pixies passing even though it was eleven years ago. It probably feels just like yesterday. We always miss our fur babies so much when they are gone. Her artsy pawtrait is beautiful, it makes her stunning eyes pop and it's like she looking right at you. Happy first day of Hanukkah! We will try to join the hop but we are furry late today.

Castpur, what a gentleman you are to let Angel Pixie be the art this week! She is a most lovely tabby. We love yours in your favorite cuddle spot. We were looking forward to the festivities this week, but it looks like we are are all going to be huddled in the house as temperaturs of -35c in the forecast. Enjoy the Hanukkah celebrations! Keep being awesome! Purrs Marv

That’s a very snuggly selfie, Caspurr! And purrs to your mom as you all remember beautiful Pixie.

I remember Pixie very very well. That was mommy. I never got to meet her. WE honor her memory with you. XXX

Tell your Mommy that mine doesn't understand how to "serve" the sticks either. Someone gave Admiral some silvervine sticks...Admiral just ignored them. MOm didn;t know what else to do.

You look cosy (but you made me laugh as its summer here and if I wrapped mine in a duvet they would be after me!!!

Oh the happiest Hanukah to you and yours, also! What a special time of year. I am so sorry for the holiday loss that Mom suffered. Scritches all around!

Caspurr looks, as they say, as snug as a bug in a rug, which just means that his Snuggle Bug term of endearment is right on. Very handsome he is, too. Both of your art pieces are magnificent, and it is so touching that you chose to honour Angel Pixie at this purrticular time, as well. Another gorgeous kitty! They both have such beautiful faces.

And Happy Hanukkah to you all, from start to finish!
