Intruder Alert: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Greetings, Effurryone!

Last week, We told you about the Intruder Kitty who has made herself at home on Our Front Porch. At furrst, We could not understand how she was getting in, as there is a fence and a gate - until Mummy saw her jump over the fence. It's hard to explain, unless you see it with your own eyes.

At all events, she comes and goes whenever she feels like it - and since she evidently finds one purrticular flower pot (a large, low, flat one) furry much to her liking (Mummy has several times found her curled up in it, or even stretched right across it), Mummy has had to bid a sad fur-well to the succulents that were planted there. Nor do the other cactuses - even the spikiest of them -  seem to bother this determined little calico kitty. Mummy has often found her resting in the shade behind the large flower pots, when She goes to put out food and water for her.

It is clear to Us that Intruder Kitty Callicallou is intent on taking up purrmanent residence here. Mummy has been giving the matter Furry Serious Thought. She has neffur adopted an adult kitty before (more about Callicallou's age in a minute) and She does not know how a kitty who grew up on the streets would react to becoming an Indoor Kitty, like Us. Also, She thinks maybe it would be nice for Trixie to have another girl kitty for company - but then, supposing they don't get on and Trixie finds herself left out, as she often does with her brofurs.

And then there are the Purr-acticalities.  Before adopting any new kitty, Mummy would have to have said kitty thoroughly checked by a v-e-t. She would then have to keep the new kitty in a separate room and slowly introduce her to Us. Under normal circumstances, She would use the Guest Room, but the Guest Room is currently occupied by Uncle D. who is here for an indefinite stay.

As to Callicallou's age - Mummy is almost certain that she is one of a litter of four born last year in the basement of Our Building to another calico kitty who is one of Mummy's "regulars". That would make her between a year to a year and a half old. Also, her left ear has been tipped, so Mummy is assuming Callicallou has already been TNR'd - which, of course, is a furry good thing.

We will leave Mummy to ponder her next move and, since it is now time to join the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by Our Dear Furriends, the Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet, We will leave you with a couple of Guest Selfies from Callicallou, which We artified with the help of LunaPic:

We artified this with Beauty at 75% - not that Callicallou needs any enhancement of her Natural Beauty:

And here is a slightly closer shot:

This one was artified, using the Stained Glass filter, at 80%:

And here are the blog hop badges:

That's all for now.  We will keep you posted.

Be well. Be safe. We love you all.

Callicallou is most definitely photogenic. There may well be fates at work here, and, well, I do think the gift of love shelter and food is greatest we can offer any sem chen/ sentient being. It occured to Mrs H that Uncle D may fancy a room mate?
I have to say your artwork is a delight, the first of the two just has the edge and is our favorite.
Purrs to you all and what ever decision you make I am sure Callicallou will be well cared for inside or out. ♥️

Callicallou is very beautiful. Your art is lovely too. It sounds like she has chosen her home whether inside or out. She doesn't look outwardly feral so should adapt to an indoor life.

It seems that the lovely Miss Callicallou is happy furr now on the patio in the flower pots with lots of good food and good wishes. Coming inside may be tricky but possible a future good choice. We cross our paws here for all of you. It was lovely of her to pose for the selfie and share it with the world.

She is gorgeous. I hope your mummy adopts her. I think your Uncle could share his room with her not that he is a cat lover. :) I love the art your mum made too. XO

She is very pretty and yes, she does look like she is saying she is home now. It might take lots of patience but it can be done.

We are sure Callicallou will let you know her wishes on the matter, calicos are very opinionated. But it seems she has already decided that you belong to her.
