Save The Date! Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Greetings, Effurrybody!

Our repurresentative this week, for both the Caturday Art blog hop, (hosted by the wise and beautiful cat goddess, Athena, and her HuMum, Marie) and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, (hosted by the fabulous Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet) is the One and Only ME - Queen Trixie, Furrst of My Name, Empurress of Jerusalem, Israel and the Entire Middle East, Queen of Hearts, Guardian of the Boudoir, Alpha Kitty Extraordinaire!

I have chosen this beautiful picture of ME, which showcases My dainty Paws, My fur-midable Fangs, My snorgleable (by Invitation Only) Tummy, and My Magnificent Floofy Tail. As I am, essentially, a furry modest Kitty, I won't even mention the glimpse you can get of My jewel-like Eyes (of which you will have to be contented with one, only). I don't like to boast, you see (mol, mol, mol).

Mummy took this picture and artified it, using LunaPic. Since She is getting on a bit, and going more gaga by the day becoming somewhat forgetful, She can't remember which of the arty effects She chose.

Now, before We set off on Our two blog hops, We want to remind all Our Furriends and Anipals that next Shabbat, March 7th, is Caspurr's 7th birthday, and that three days after that, it will be PURIM.  As you know, We often merge two or more celebrations into one, so as to have them fall during the weekend, in order to make it easier for more anipals to attend, but as it has been quite a while since We gave a pawty, and since two pawties are better than one, and since it is a Mewish tradition not to mingle celebrations, We shall be celebrating Caspurr's birthday on Shabbat and Purim on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 10th. Both pawties will start at 6 pm. Israel Time and take place in (where else?) the Enchanted Forest, unless it rains. If that happens, co-ordinates for an Alternative Location will be sent directly to your Teleport Devices. Those of you who have not yet done so, are invited to register your Teleport Devices with Our Communication and Navigation Centre, to enable Us to send you updates in the event of such eventualities as described above.

Do not fur-get. The Purim pawty is a COSTUME pawty. You are supposed to come in Fancy Dress. And since it is also a custom to get drunk on Purim (don't ask Me why), there will be plenty of nip cocktails and other such stuff.

Are there any volunteers to help set up and run the Bar (mol)?

Alright, effurryone. It's time to blog hop! See you at the pawties!

Purim is Here!!!

Greetings, Effurrybody!

As many of you purr-obably know, tomorrow is Purim, so We are having a big pawty and We would like you all to come and celebrate with Us.

In Jerusalem, where We live, Purim is celebrated one day later than in most other places, but since most of Our Furr-iends live outside Jerusalem, We have decided to make a Compurr-omise (mol).  The Party will start tomorrow at 4 pm Israel time (which is still round about noon where many of our anipals live - in North America) and will be an Allnighter. So effurryone will be satisfied.

Fur-thermore, since it is a custom on Purim to get drunk, you can be sure there will be lots of niptinis, nip cocktails, nip on the rocks and catnipade, as well as plenty of Noms. In keeping with the custom of eating hamantaschen, we will be providing this delicacy with every conceivable kind of filling. And there will be Micecream, Minced Mice, Fricasseed Fish, all Our Favourite Flavours of Fancy Feast, Smoked Salmon, Tuna Terrine, Chick-hen Pie, Anchovy Cakes, Sardines on Toast,  - oh, I could go on and on.

And most important of all - don't forget to come in Fancy Dress. Purim is like Mardi Gras and Halloween all rolled into one. Prizes for the best costumes.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Purim is Just Around the Corner

Greetings, Effurybody!

I haven't written much lately because my Human has been hogging the computer all the time. What does she find to do on it? Well you may ask! She says she's writing a novel and she needs the computer, not only to write it but also to do research. I ask you! We are a Single Computer Family and so, while she's working on her silly novel, all I can do is sit on the printer and watch.

Today, she decided that since Sunday is Purim, I should share in the fun and dress up. So she put a funny hat on my head and then took a picture with the gadget she talks into. As you can see, I did my best not to have my picture taken.

I tried very hard to shake it off, but she managed to take a picture before I succeeded. Then she decided that the picture wasn't good enough and she went to get her flashy box - but I was too fast for her, this time. I made my escape and she gave up.

But guess what, kitties! She's going to a Purim pawty next week and she's planning on dressing up as a Pussycat! Now this, I have to see (MOL). She's got a black kitty mask, with whiskers and you should just see her tail! It's greatly inferior to my splendiferous appendage! I can't handle the flashy box, so I hope someone takes her picture at the pawty next week.

Till then - Shabbat Shalom, effuryone. Have a lovely weekend.

The Cat in the Hat

Greetings, Fellow Felines (and C-a-n-i-n-e-s and Humans too)!

Well, Purim has been and gone - I know my Human wrote about it on her blog. It's that festival when humans get dressed up in all sorts of fancy costumes. (Some of them even get dressed up as Pussycats.)  My Human thought it would be nice if I, too, were to don Fancy Dress. I made it very clear to her that this was not, in My Humble Opinion, a very Good Idea, especially as her notion of Fancy Dress for Moi was to deck me out in all sorts of extravagant hats borrowed from the members of her porcelain doll collection.

I have my dignity to maintain, Fellow Felines, and that is hard for a mancat to do when disguised as a ladycat - however elegant. However, Mummy insisted that the whole point of Purim costumes is to pretend to be what you are not. I remained unconvinced, Fellow Felines - but Mummy was too crafty and managed to get the better of Me this time. She waited until I was catnapping and then she sneaked up on Me with a silly hat and her flashy box and took pictures of Me.

Of course, that woke Me up - and then, She coaxed me into trying on another hat.
Which one do you think suits me best?

I know, I know - it's hard to decide, isn't it? I'm so handsome, whatever I wear, aren't I?

Have a lovely weekend, and Shabbat Shalom to you all.
