Caspurr's Caturday Art

Hallo there, Effurryone!

It is Me, Caspurr, King of the Tigger-Tabbies. It should really be Trixie, because it's her birthday the day after tomorrow, but since she gets to celebrate next Saturday as well, August 17th being Black Cat Appreciation Day, she has graciously consented to allow Me to represent the J-Cats in this week's Caturday Art Blog Hop, hosted by the beautiful and wise cat goddess, Athena and her HuMum, Marie.

So, I thought I would share with you a couple of pictures of Me and My New Magical Flying Carpet (as you may recall, Shimshi told you how We have one each).

On Wednesday, I took the beauteous BellaDharma, my Panfur Purrincess, out for a spin, and We flew over some furry interesting places, mountains and lakes, forests and seas.  I had a wonderful time, and I hope the lovely BellaD did, also.  She gave Me a few Anxious Moments though, because she was so excited, she kept standing up - and I was really afraid she might fall off! Fortunately, however, she has a great sense of balance!

We have two pictures to share; one is mostly blue, inspired by the lakes and seas We saw, and the other is greener, repurresenting the forests and jungles.

Mummy used LunaPic for both of them, but She can't remember exactly which effects she used. She thinks one might have been Splash and the other Jungle, but She's not 100% certain.

Anyway, We like them both. Which do YOU prefurr?

We actually have a furry busy week coming up. Tomorrow is the fast of Tisha B'Av. The day after, Monday, is Trixie's birthday, as I already told you. Friday is Tu B'Av, which is the the Mewish-Jewish Valentine's Day.  And next Caturday is Black Cat Appreciation Day - which is when We are going to have Trixie's Official Birthday Pawty.

I am telling you all this now, to give you advance warning for the Pawty, which will take place in Our Favourite Venue, the Enchanted Forest, at dusk (about 8 pm). We hope to see you all there.

Now, We would like to wish you all Shavua Tov (a Good Week) before joining the Blog Hop.

Uncle Messi's Sunday Guest Selfie

Greetings, Effurrybody!

Shavua Tov  (a Good Week) to you all!

We couldn't agree on which of Us would star in today's Sunday Selfie Blog Hop, hosted by Our Furriends the Kitties Blue and their Human, Janet, over at The Cat on My Head blog, so We decided to invite Our Woofie Uncle, Messi, to post a Guest Selfie instead.  And since he doesn't get to share photos of his handsome self online too often (as his Humans, Grandpaw and Step-Grandma, don't have a blog and neither does Messi), We helped him make a really impurressive selfie and added a fancy picture furrame, just for Good Measure.

For those of you who haven't heard of Messi before, We should explain that his Pawrents are Mummy's Daddy and Step-Mum, which makes him Our Uncle.

This picture was taken on a Furry Hot Day last week. Although Grandpaw and Step-Grandma have Airconditioning in their home, Messi prefers to keep cool by lying on the floor-tiles in the hall, which is the shadiest part of the house.

Grandpaw and Step-Grandma have a big garden too, so Messi is a furry lucky woofie. And a furry handsome one too, don't you agree?

Okay, now it's time to start hopping. First the badge:

Shimshi's Magical Mystery Flying Carpet

Hallo again, Effurrybuddies!

This is Me, the Mighty Shimshon (Shimshi for short), aka The Little Purrince, Captain of the Guard and Master of the Queen's Mischiefs!

At long last, I have got me some wheels wings fringes!
Yes, you heard right. No longer will I have to argue with my fursibs over the use of Our one and only Teleport Tunnel!  Our Human bought three new rugs for the living room so now, each of Us has Our Furry Own Magical Flying Carpet.

FREEDOM!

I can go wher-effur I want, when-effur I want! I can drop in on my furriends for surprise visits! I can take beautiful ladycats out for a spin without having to share my plans with Trixie or Caspurr!

YES!

Here she is! Isn't she a beauty!

Come to think of it - I look purrty good too, if I do say so myself (mol).

So good, in fact, that I am ready to take part in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop hosted by my Good Furriends, the Kitties Blue and their Human, Janet!

Before doing so, I want to wish effurryone Shavua Tov - a Good Week - and that the weather, wherever you are, be not too hot and not too cold, but JUST RIGHT.

Here goes!

Sunday Selfies: Moonlight Sonata

Hallo again, Effurryone and Shavua Tov (a Good Week) to you all!

It is I, Caspurr the Courageous, King of the Tigger-Tabbies, here to represent the J-Cats in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop hosted by the Kitties Blue and their Human, Janet. They are celebrating their seventh blogoversary today, and We wish them a huge Mazal Tov.

This picture was taken last week. As you can see, I was looking furry anxious in this picture - and with Good Reason! The Moon was being stolen, right before my eyes, and there was nothing I could do to stop it!

Mummy explained to Us that this was something called a Lunar Eclipse and that the Moon would come back in a few hours. It hadn't really been stolen, She said - just borrowed. But I was still worried. I was wondering if the Thieves would who had stolen the Moon would return it in time for my romantic moonlight picnic with the beauteous BellaDharma from The Purrfect Pad, which I had planned for the following evening, the night of the Full Moon. You can't have a moonlight picnic with no moon, can you?

I waited and waited and waited and sure enough, just as I was beginning to despair, I saw that the Moon had escaped its captors and was slowly coming back to Us.
What a relief!

The following night, she was shining in all her splendour - and my Panfur Princess and I had a wonderful picnic up in the Enchanted Forest, where the wild nip grows.

Did any of you witness the theft of the Moon?  Did it make you anxious?

At all events, the Moon is back where she always was, in plenty of time to celebrate the furrst Human lunar landing fifty years ago (that's like - about a gazillion in cat years). Why, that 's before even Minxie, Mummy's furry furrst kitty, was born! Mummy was around then, though, just about. You know she's gazillions of years old, don't you (mol)?

Okay, time to join the Blog Hop. Here is the badge, furrst of all:

And off We go:

Sunday Selfies: Introducing Lola

Hallo again, Effurrybuddies!

Shavua Tov (a Good Week) to you all!

It's time for Sunday Selfies - and this week, We have a guest selfie from Our newest Furrmily Member. Meet Lola!

Yes, you have got it in one! Lola is a Bunny - and her Human is Mummy's youngest niece, so We reckon that makes Lola our cousin, sort of (cousin once removed, Mummy says - but We don't see why. Nobody has removed her anywhere!)

It seems that whatever Lola wants, Lola gets (mol). She even roams freely about the house. We've never heard of a bunny that was allowed to do that.

We think Lola rather resembles Trixie in many ways - except for the long ears. What do you think?

Here is Trixie:

And here is Lola:

Both ladies have sleek, glossy black furs and although Trixie doesn't have big, floppy ears, she does have a big, floofy tail. Why, they could almost be sisfurs, don't you agree?

Of course, We don't know yet who is better at bunny kicking (mol).

As Lola is new to Our Furmilly, and her HuMum doesn't have a blog, We are entering Lola for this week's Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by the Kitties Blue and their Human, Janet.

Trixie's Dreamy Sunday Selfie

Hallo, Effurrybody!

Furrst of all, We would like to wish effurrybody Shavua Tov - A Good Week.

Now, today it's My Turn to take part in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by the Kitties Blue and their Purrsonal Assistant, Janet,  from The Cat on My Head blog.  In this picture, you can see Me doing one of the things I like best. I like to stretch out in a safe corner, wedged in where my brofurs can't blindside Me and pounce on Me from behind, and daydream - about Fancy Feasties, Mousies, fields full of Nip ... you know, all those Necessities of Life that an Alpha Kitty Extraordinaire like Myself has a Right to expect. In this corner, I have all the advantages of being right beside a full-length mirror, so those Mischievous Mancats have No Chance at all of catching Me unawares. I shall pretend to be asleep and when they try to creep up on Me, they won't know what hit them (mol)!

We see they are having a bit of technical trouble over at the Cat on My Head bloggie. We aren't sure if We are going to be able to link to the Blog Hop, but We are going to try. We have tried twice - and failed to add Our Selfie. We will try again - as they do say, "third time lucky", don't they?

UPDATE:  It is Monday already, and We still haven't been able to link to the Blog Hop.  We hope it all gets sorted out by next week.

See you then - if not before!

UPDATE #2  Tuesday afternoon. It seems the linkie thing has been fixed so now, we are going to try to link to the Blog Hop list  Paws crossed...

Caturday Art: An Eventful Week

Greetings, Effurryone!

It is I, Caspurr the Courageous, King of the Tigger-Tabbies, here to tell you what a furry eventful week it has been and how I have more than lived up to My Name!

Furrst of all, last weekend, Mummy noticed that as well as often having my adorable pink tongue stuck out most of the time, I had started to drool - and She also said that I had (whisper) Bad Breath. After getting in a Panic and thinking I had maybe got all sorts of Terrible and Nameless Diseases, she finally settled on the purrobability that I had a gum infection. So on Sunday, she kitnapped Me and hauled Me off to the V-E-T.  She got furry cross because We had to wait HALF AN HOUR for a taxi - but, when it came, I was Furry Good and refrained from singing the Song of My People, despite the Provocation.

Any way, once we got to the surgery, I continued to behave beautifully and let Dr. Einat examine my mouth and she saw at once that I had a furry bad inflammation of my gums caused by a broken tooth right at the back. She put some paste in my mouth which must have been a local anaesthetic (another Big Word I have learned) and then she pulled out that rotten old tooth without further ado and I sat there, AS GOOD AS GOLD, and let her get on on with it, without uttering a single meow. Dr. Einat and her assistant said that I was an Absolute Dream Cat and that they had never before met a Feline who would allow them to pull a tooth without "putting them under" and without uttering a sound. But, to be honest, kitties - it was giving me such pain I would have done almost anything to be rid of it. I started feeling better almost immediately. The V-E-T gave Mummy antibiotics to administer to me twice a day for a week and also something called Dentisept, which is a paste she has to spread on my gums effury day for a week, and then three times a week for effur more - and, do you know what, kitties? Not only do I not resist taking my meds, I even come running to Mummy when I see her prepurring them for Me!
Aren't I Good?

Move over, now, Caspurr! It is My Turn!
I, Queen Trixie, want to tell you that after cleaning the appawtment by herself for the past couple of years, Mummy decided to try out a couple who started working recently for her stepsister, and they came to clean the appawtment last Wednesday. Of course, since there were two of them, they can get it done much faster than just one, which means We have to be shut up in one of the rooms for less time. However, when the time came to clean the room where We were, Mummy had to move Us into the bedroom, which had already been cleaned. I was the furrst to be moved, but Mummy hadn't warned the cleaners to stay out of sight and when I saw Two Total Strangers in the house, I Freaked Out and tried to escape from Mummy's Arms, scratching her really badly in the process. But She knew it wasn't My Fault and She didn't get mad at Me, although I know it hurt Her furry much because She was almost crying with the pain. I felt so bad about it. I didn't know how to make it up to Her until Furriday, when She was cooking for Shabbat. Usually, when She is cooking, She shuts Us all away in the Bedroom, because the Mancats insist on jumping up on the kitchen counter. But I was too quick for her and I leapt up to My Lofty Perch atop the kitchen cupboards before She could catch Me. And there I stayed, snoopervising her all the time She was cooking and encouraging her to get it done quickly. You see, if I had let her shut Me away with the boys, She would have been taking breaks effury so often to check her email, or read a book or wasted time on Fursbook - but with Me in the kitchen snoopervising, She couldn't turn her back for so much as a minute, or leave the room, for fear (completely unwarranted, I have to say) that I might jump down on the counter and eat something I shouldn't, like onions, for instance (which are furry, furry bad for kitties). So, you see, I helped her get the Shabbat cooking done in record time (mol).

Okay, Trixie! Now I, the Mighty Shimshi, want to have My say too!
I want to tell all Our Furriends about how We purrtected Mummy from an Evil Cockroach on Furriday night. We spotted it lurking in the kitchen. We would have liked to play with it for a bit before dedding it, but Mummy was screaming at Us all the time to kill it. Well, We held it at bay and then Mummy came and threw the book at it. That is to say, she dropped the Telephone Directory on it and squished it and then She scooped up the Corpse with the Brush and Pan and tossed it out of the window. I do think She  might have let Us eat it, don't you? It would have made a nice crunchy snack. But Mummy said She wasn't having That Thing in the house a moment longer than necessary and out it went.  Now Mummy is in something of a Quandary (You see, Caspurr? You aren't the only one who knows some Big Words). She would like to really "go to town" with the insecticide, but She is terribly afraid of accidentally poisoning Us - like the dear little kitty She saw at the V-E-T's on Sunday, who had accidentally ingested some of the insecticide when her home was de-bugged a few days earlier. Mummy says She would rather have the odd cockroach or two than risk poisoning Us.

Now, kitties (and other Anipals, and Human Admirers too), We are pawticipating in this week's Caturday Art Blog, hosted by the Beautiful and Wise Kitty, Athena, and her Human, Marie.

The original photo is one of those rare ones where We are all zonked out peacefully chillaxing out together on the bed:

Mummy cropped it and then artified it with her favourite LunaPic, using the Beauty Effect at 75%. Finally, She added a Picture Frame Border:

And now, We are almost ready to go. All that remains is for Us to wish you all Shavua Tov - a Good Week - and to add the Blog Hop Badge:

That's it. Let's Blog Hop:
