Better Late Than Never: Shimshi's Smouldering Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Greetings, Effurrybuddies!

We hope nobuddy was worried when We failed to post yesterday. Mummy had a follow-up appointment with her oncologist and, as often happens when one's doctor works in a teaching hospital, it didn't start till over an hour after it was actually scheduled. And then Mummy stayed to have coffee and a croissant with her sister, who had skipped breakfast, and came home through town, where She had a few errands, so by the time She got home, She barely had time for a shower and a Siesta before leaving for Caterwauling Purractice - let alone writing a blog.

Anyway, here We are I am - I, being the Mighty Shimshon (Shimshi for short), Furrst of My Name, the Little Purrince, aka The Baby Mancat, Master of the Queen's Mischiefs and Captain-of-the-Guard. It is My Turn to lead My Fellow J-Cats on the weekend blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightful and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

Here is My Selfie, with Our Beautiful Pawtriotic Frame (do not fur-get that this Wednesday, October 7th, is the third anniversary of the attack on Us by the Evil Humans from Gaza). Sadly, a lot of people around the World seem to have fur-gotten that fact!

Can you see the Smouldering Look in My Gaze?

All the art and frames this week come from LunaPic. Here is the furrst artification, which uses the Pen effect at 37%:

Next, a bright and cheerful version featuring the Watercolour Effect at 70%:

And finally, the kaleidoscopic, jewel-like Nouveau filter, reminiscent of a stained-glass window and set to 85%:

Do you have a favourite? Let Us know in the Comments section below.

And here, before We fur-get, are the blog hop badges:

Mummy's schedule for the rest of this month is going to be Supurr Busy and Supurr Erratic, because of all the extra rehearsals and the four opurra purr-formances of Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci in the second half of October, but She will do her furry best to keep posting regularly effurry week, same Cat Time, same Cat Channel.

Till next time then - be safe. Be well. We love you all!

Sir Shimshi, we vote fur art number 3 acause it's stained glass! But your selfie with smoldering eyes, now that can not be beat. We hope all went well with the dr. in the end. And that Mum gets lotsa caterwauling in. She deserves some "me" time.

The watercolour effect is our favourite this week, closely followed by the Art Nouveau effect.
My, your staff are going to be incredibly busy! First and foremost I hope you all get fed and cuddles first, and add-lib there after.
We will remember 7th October for the senseless and cruel event it was. Hopefully peace will soon reign in the area and for the good peoples of Israel.
Happy Warbling!
ERin

Shimshon, I must admit I was a bit concerned when you did not post but I knew your Mum would do so as soon as she had time. We are all stretched right now, aren’t we.

Your handsome photo looks delightful as the pen drawing as well as the other two, but I think I like the pen best.

It sounds like your Mum is going to be very busy so I will not be too concerned if she cannot post, instead I will look forward to a triumphant update once the flurry of activity is over.

No, I will not forget those who attack others with no provocation, it grieves me to the core anyone can act this way.

I am praying for the peace of Jerusalem.

I pray that Wednesday will remain a peaceful day, so that all the memories can be honored in a peaceful manner. Such an horrific event. I also pray that a like event will not ever happen again. Shalom, is a better way.

I like all the art works, can't decide on a fave.
We hope all your performances will be wonderfully sung. Maybe there might be some videos later? We were at a local symphony concert here last weekend, and they played dance of the hoiurs from Pagliacci. I like the music of Cavalleria Rusticana, too, and years ago our school orchestra played some of that music.
