Yom Kippurr: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies With Queen Trixie

Greetings, Effurrybody!

Queen Trixie here, repurresenting the J-Cats in this weekend's blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightfully and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

Do you like the frame, which Mummy designed herself, with a little help from LunaPic?  Besides the Magen David, the references to the Israeli flag and the shofar, or ram's horn, symbolising the High Holy Days, we also have the Scales of Justice, because tonight is the start of Yom Kippurr (the Day of Atonement), when the whole world stands before the Heavenly Throne, awaiting Judgement.

All the art this week is from BeFunky, but the frames are from LunaPic.

Furrst of all, here I am with the Realist GFX effect:

Next, We used the delicate and elegant Sunlit Gouache GFX effect, at 65%:

And finally, the somewhat playful Crayon GFX effect:

Do you have a favourite? Let Us know in the Comments section below.

Next, here are the blog hop badges:

In other news, We are sure you will be relieved to hear that Mummy finished her course of radio-therapy without any side effects (that We know of), except for feeling rather tired. In a couple of weeks, She has an appointment with her oncologist, and they will decide if Mummy needs any further treatment.

Now, since tonight, as We said, is the start of the Day of Atonement, before We go, We would like to wish all of you, and your pawrents, a Good "Final Sealing", or, as We say in Hebrew - גמר חתימה טובה  (Gmar Hatima Tova).

May you all be inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life.

What lovely art effects. I think this week it is toss of the coin between 2 & 3. The colours in those two we prefer. On balance we will pick no.2.
Thank goodness the treatment has gone well with no apparent side effects. Here's hoping it stays that way.
And we wish you a blessed celebration of the 'Final Sealing'.
Purrs and prayers to all there in Israel.

Queen Trixie the scales of Justice suit you perfectly because we know you would be a very good Queen. We are glad to hear your mum has that treatment behind her and now she can get on to recovering back to total normal.

Queen Trixie, what a darling picture of you! I think that last effect, Crayon GFX, is our favorite this week. We're glad the treatment is over and went smoothly and hope it was successful. May you have a good celebration!

We're glad your Mummy's treatment went well and paws crossed she won't need more treatment. We like the Crayon best because it looks more like your furs.

G’mar chatima tova.
Hope you recover from your medical treatments, and that there are no more!
While #1 and #2 are wonderful, #3 is the one that jumps off the screen for me, Queen Trixie.

Queen Trixie, I think #2 was my favorite aside from the original.
That goodness...your Mum has finished the treatments. I am sure that the appointment with the oncologist will go well.
My personal prayer is that I will be inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life. I count on it.

Good news on the radiology, we hope the follow up appt will be a good one, too.
I like the first art effect the best, but they are all nice.

Have a great week ahead.

Queen Trixie, you are positively regal even in crayon.

The frame is beautiful, and I pray we are all inscribed in the Book of Life.

I am praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
