Greetings, Effurrybody!
Queen Trixie here - with extremely mixed feelings this week. On Wednesday, August 12th, We celebrated My 14th Birthday with a Picnic and BBQ up in the Enchanted Forest - but how can we truly celebrate when, in the course of a single week, We have lost two such Beloved Furriends. I refurr, of course, to two of the dearest ladycats We have effur known, the beauteous and feisty Katie Isabella on August 8th, and the lovely and gentle Seal of the Brian's Home blog on August 14th.
It is furry, furry hard indeed - yet We think neither of these Amazing and Adorable Kitties would want their furriends to forego such Impawtant Traditions as the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightfully and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet. In fact, it is even more Impawtant to continue hopping - especially for kitties like Us, who are accustomed to blog only once a week. This is Our Way of keeping in touch - and keeping in touch, even if just to say a quick "Hallo, how are you?" can mean so much.
So, here is this week's Selfie:
We framed it with the help of LunaPic, which is also responsible for this week's artification, using the Landscape art effect at 56%, overlaid with Dark at 34%.
In addition, a stamp - in Impurrial Purrple - was issued in honour of My Birthday:
Moreover, PhotoFunia's Empurress Winery, (a boutique label, you understand) launched a limited edition of a new champagne named Sleeping Beauty, in MY Honour.
And last, but by no means least, PhotoFunia Publications has just brought out My latest book of Poetry:
I have dedicated the book to Katie Isabella and to Seal.
And now, here are the blog hop badges:

Before We start hopping, We wanted to tell you about something Really Weird! Yesterday, it rained. No, it didn't just rain. It POURED! As you may know, in Israel, it simply does not rain in August. But the weather all over the world has been completely Topsy-Turvy this summer, hasn't it? Europe has been suffering severe drought, due to massive heat waves, bringing the kind of tempurratures We would expect to see in Eilat. Meanwhile, although it's been pretty hot here in Israel (like, the upper 30s Celsius), yesterday, it seemed as if We might need to build an Ark (mol). And what's more, it's extremely cloudy again right now - although still furry hot. Kind of like monsoon weather. Maybe it will rain again this afternoon. Mummy hopes not, because we haven't yet got round to insulating the roof.
Well, I guess that's it for now. We will be back next week, COD-willing - same Cat Time, same Cat Channel.
Till then - be safe. Be well. We love you all.

Happy Birthday from all of us beautiful Trixie!!! Thanks for your kind words about our sweet Seal, we sure miss our special girl.
With global warming we are seeing weather shifts for sure. We have had flooding and now heatwave no.5. Who knows what winter will bring in UK or anywhere for that matter. Some places have flooding already, with loss of life and property. I do offer prayers for all creatures so affected.
Now, as to this week's artwork!
I think the champagne really floats our boat (rather than launches it, mol). But sweeter would be a box of your very own luxury soft centre chocolates and dark truffles dusted in cocoa.
A princess can only dream . . .
Stay safe and well, you and all in Israel.

The weather here is not normal... it's been consistently scorchio for weeks, a couple of spots of rain and that's it... we think winter will be cold and supurr snowy! MOL Trixie your selfie is sublime and the art is meautiful!!! Happy Sunday!!! π»πΎ✨πΎπ»
We were so saddened by the losses this week, too, there is ongoing purring for them by our kitties here ... We love the picture of Trixie and wish her a Happy Birthday! All the art effect versions of her picture are just entrancing. We can't choose a favorite today!
Happy belated Birthday to Trixie. We're so sad about those two sweet ladycats too. Fun artwork!
Queen Trixie, hope you got an umbrella close by if you have more rain drops falling on your head! We have had unbelievable rain for 2 weeks. Part of our state of Ohio have towns washed away. The heat and humidity are still here. We love you on a stamp and a bottle of wine. I, Precious had a great time at your birthday pawty. But it was not the same without Katie Isabella and Seal.
Happy Birthday, Trixie!
All the art is wonderful today.
The art is purrfect, and those are all wonderful memorabilia for your birthday, Queen Trixie. It is raining her right now. They have been teasing us all week with forecasts of rain, but this is the first time it has actually materialized for more than 30 seconds. In the 90s, Mom and Dad were in Egypt in an area that had not had rain in eight years. They were on a bus with many other buses in a line. It flooded so badly and quickly that one of the buses tipped over on its side and all the passengers had to crawl out through the windows and spread out among the other busses. Mom said that it was so scary and was thankful the bus she and Dad were on remained upright. Thanks for hopping! Happy Birthday to Queen Trixie! Cute photos. It is very sad to hear about the loss of two fur-friends. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
Happy Birthday Queen Trixie! We LOVE your art this week and your selfie is divine. Our Kozmo was devastated by the passing of Katie. He has been her #1 Fan Boy for 15 1/2 years! We too got rain this week. We had 16 hours straight! We are in the 3rd year of drought her in the middle of nowhere so we were so very happy! We have had light sprinkles every day since even though it was not forecast. This has relly helped with the forest fires! It all started AFTER the CatBlogosphere asked for Purrayers! We firmly believe in the Power of the Paw! Keep being AWESOME! Marvelous

We will all miss Katie and Seal.
I am praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
I’m sorry about your losses. Congratulations on your book of poetry!
Happy Birthday, Trixie!
Yes it was a sad week, in blogville.
We like your art, and had a good giggle at the champagne bottle! It was nice of you to dedicate your poetry book to the new Angel kitties;.
Rain!?! Wow, I bet that was welcome, even if it was not in season for it. All the desert flowers might now decide to bloom early so they can be admired.
