Up Close and Purrsonal with Shimshi: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Greetings, Effurrybuddies!

Here I am again, the Mighty Shimshon (Shimshi for short), The Little Purrince, Furrst of My Name, aka The Baby Mancat, Master of the Queen's Mischiefs and Captain of the Guard. I will be repurresenting the J-Cats in this weekend's blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightful and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

Before doing so, howeffur, I will give you just a brief update on what's going on here.
Well, the truth is - We don't exactly know. Ceasefire? Not sure. It's true the Evil Ayatollahs aren't shooting at Us at present, but up in the north, their Wicked Minions, Hezbollah, haven't let a day go by without shooting rockets and/or dispatching drones (or both) at the Israeli towns and villages near the border.  And We understand the ceasefire with Iran, which President Trump extended, is due to end sometime tonight. But there again - We aren't sure. We keep hearing conflicting reports.

Just about the only thing we are sure of is that We have prepurred some lovely selfies and artwork to share with you, Our Dear Furriends - so let's get on with it!

Here is My Selfie, in a Beautiful Frame designed by Mummy, with the help of LunaPic. It celebrates Spring, which seems to have made up its mind that it is Here at last!

This week, We have returned to LunaPic for all the art and frames. Furrst of all, here is a bright, colourful composition using the Splash effect, at 63%:

Next, We find Nouveau even more colourful and artsy-fartsy:

And finally, a rather more restrained creation, combining Escher with an overlay of Beauty at 20%:

The last one reminds Mummy of old black and white pictures She has seen, which were tinted with paint to give the illusion of colour photography before it was invented (mol).

Which one do you like best? Let Us know in the Comments Section below.

Now, before We start visiting Our Furriends, here are the blog hop badges:

As is Our Custom, We will try to visit as many of you as pawssible before Mummy turns off the Computer Machine and goes to have a Snooze Siesta prior to going to Caterwauling Purractice. If We miss any of you, please fur-give Us.

And don't fur-get to visit Mummy's own bloggie, where she has posted Part 7 of the Tail Tale of Her Adventures in Greece last autumn, if you haven't already done so.

We hope to see you all again next week, COD-willing - same Cat Time, same Cat Channel. Till then - be safe. Be well. We love you all!
