This week, We J-Cats are taking some time off and instead, We are going to let Our Outside Cousins, Callicallou and Melba, whom We are sure you all remember furry well, star in this weekend's blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Deliciously and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.
They have both made themselves completely at home on Mummy's entrance porch, and have even requisitioned some of the empty flowerpots to use as beds - as you can see from this beautiful selfie of Callicallou:
It came out slightly blurry, but Mummy thought that wouldn't matter so much once She artified it, which She did with BeFunky's Graphic Novel GFX filter:
Then it was Melba's turn:
Melba is little camera-shy, actually. Anyway, this one was artified with another BeFunky filter - Mosaic2:
The frames, as always, were created by Mummy using LunaPic.
And now for a Two-fur! What do you think? Is Callicallou hiding from Melba, or is Melba hiding from Callicallou?
For this, Mummy returned to LunaPic and used their Adventure effect (which She doesn't think She has used before) at 43%:
As for Us, We are looking forward to a lot more snuggle time with Mummy over the next few weeks, as her Caterwauling Club is now in recess till September. Last week, they had a very successful end to the 2024/25 season, with a concert of Meowpolitan Mewsic. Mummy will probably write about that and other Mewsical Matters in her own bloggie later this week, and might even have some short video-clips from the concert to share with you.

I bet an empty terracotta plant pot makes a great bed in a cool balcony. My how pretty they both are. I guess maybe they are both trying to steer clear of each other and find shade at the same time :) We have rain now but temps still in the twenties.
The graphic novel art sure is sharp, but I think I prefer the subtle art of the final combined selfie from the balcony crew :)

We have been wondering about those two sweet outdoor kitties. With all the threats and the bombs and the alarms going off. We were hoping they were safe and we see not only are they safe but they look happy and well fed. Can't wait to see what your mum did for singing. And we hope you're staying cool because it's still very hot where we live.
We love seeing kitties in pots like that. It reminds us of Eric and Flynn in theirs!

Your Outside Cousins, Callicallou and Melba look like they are a fun pair. Do you guys play "cat games' through the glass? When Mommy lived in Vancouver and I, Marvelous was only allowed outside in my catio, the white cat (whose name was White Cat) who lived next door used to play Pat-A-Paw, Who Can Screech The Loudest and Claw The Glass with me. I LOVE seeing those two girls. I have not forgotten them! They are beautiful girls. Are they able to go to your Mummy and be petted? Good in a way that the Caterwauling is on a short break. I look forward to whatever your Mum puts in her blog.

It's a delight to see Callicallou and Melba, and I hope they aren't really hiding from each other but actually get along. It's wonderful your Mummy takes such good care of them.
