October Dreams: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies with Caspurr

Greetings, Effurryone!

Caspurr the Snuggle-Bug here, repurresenting the J-Cats on the weekend blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Snoozies Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightful and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

I know We are posting rather late today. Mummy was sooooo tired after travelling down to Petach Tikva yesterday evening with her caterwauling friends to purrform the opurras Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci. The purrformance didn't end till 23:40 and Mummy didn't get home till 00:30 in the morning. Then She had to feed Us and do all sorts of stupid stuff like remove her make-up and suchlike, so She wasn't ready for bed till past 01:30 am. Of course, since We put the clocks back at 02:00, She did get an extra hour's sleep to make up for it - in fact, We let her sleep till 8:30 before demanding Our Breakfast, since She gave Us a furry late supper when She got home - but She's still pretty much sleepwalking (mol).

My Selfie this week is also rather sleepy - but We think you will like it because of the cute blep which Humans seem to set so much store by.

Mummy remembered just in time that this will probably be Our last post before Howl O'Ween, so She created a suitably decorated frame.

All of the Art this week, including the frame, comes from LunaPic.

Furrst up, a splendidly arty-fartsy concoction using the Nouveau effect, which many of you seem to like and which is also one of Our Favourites. We set it at 78%:

Almost as colourful was Our next artification, which used Dreaming at 46%:

Finally, Monster at 52% seemed furry suitable for a Howl O'Ween dream, don't you agree?

Do let Us know in the Comments section below, which one you liked best!

Mummy is looking at another Extremely Busy Week ahead. She and her caterwauling friends have two more purrformances of the opurras this week - tomorrow in Kiryat Motzkin, up in the north just past Haifa, and the following day in Rishon-le-Zion. In addition, Tuesday is Election Day. We don't "do pawliticks" on this blog, as a rule, but Mummy might write about that on her own bloggie. She will almost certainly write about the opurra purrformances, once She has sorted out the various photos and video-clips shared by her fellow Caterwaulers.

Before We go, here are the blog hop badges:

Well, that's just about it for this week. COD-willing, We'll be back here next week as usual, same Cat Time, same Cat Channel. Till then, be safe. Be well. We love you all.

Remembering Angel Possum - the MagnifiCat

Greetings, Effurrybuddy!

This week, it was supposed to have been Caspurr's turn to repurresent the J-Cats on the weekend blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightfully and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

Howeffur, Caspurr pointed out that this coming Wednesday, October 21st,  is the 14th anniversary of the day Possum the MagnifiCat received his wings and departed for the Rainbow Bridge, leaving Mummy heartbroken.  Caspurr is convinced that Angel Possum purrsonally chose him to comfort Mummy - just as Princess PixieCato, who had received her angel's wings the year before, chose Trixie to be Mummy's beloved little Princess. Then the two of them together chose Shimshi to complete the Furrmily.

So this week, Angel Possum will be the Star of this week's Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies.

Furrst of all, here is a pawtrait of him in all his Furry Magnificence:

He was, indeed, the floofiest kitty Mummy has effur known, even floofier than Trixie!

And, like Caspurr, he was an incredible Snuggle-Bug.

We created three artifications of him, all with the help of LunaPic.

Furrst up, here is one using the Tattoo effect, at 50%:

Next, the delicate pastel shades of Floating, at 67%:

And finally, a pas de deux of Landscape (64%) and Tuscany (20%):

But We aren't finished yet. Mummy took the Original Picture over to PhotoFunia, where She framed it and set it in a still life with a bouquet of beautiful daffodils:

Aren't these all Beautiful? We can't decide which is the Beautifullest - and neither can Mummy!

Now, here are the blog hop badges:

Mummy will be extremely busy for the rest of the month with her opurras. Tomorrow, She has a four hour rehearsal in the late afternoon and evening and the following day is the Dress Rehearsal.  On Wednesday, She and her caterwauling friends will open in Jerusalem, with another purrformance in Petach Tikva on Saturday night, and two more purrformances next week in Kiryat Motzkin way up in the north, and in Rishon-le-Zion. But in spite of all that, We will do Our level best to be with you again next week, same Cat Time, same Cat Channel.

Meanwhile, be safe. Be well. We love you all!

Trixie in October: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Greetings, Effurrybody!

Well, the High Holydays and festivals are over now and We have a whole month without anything special connected to the Mewish calendar. That does not mean, howeffur, that life is going to be dull. Anything but, in fact, what with extra rehearsals for Mummy and her caterwauling friends, o-purra purrformances, and - ELECTIONS! No, indeed, things are going to be furry busy for Mummy this month - and We can only hope that is not going to affect OUR Schedule too much. After all, Her Prime Duty is to minister to Our Needs, is it not?

Today, at any rate, We do not anticipate any Interruptions, as She has no Caterwauling Purractice this evening, due to the fact that there will be extra rehearsals later in the week. That being the case, We are able to post more or less on time today and I, Queen Trixie, will be able to repurresent My Fellow J-Cats on this weekend's blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightful and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

So here, without further ado, is My Selfie:

Since We are now in October, and Autumn is beginning to tap at the window, so to speak,  We decided to add some seasonal touches to Our usual pawtriotic frame -  all this with the help of LunaPic. LunaPic allows Us to design custom frames but also has a whole series of beautiful, ready-made frames, with clean-cut, elegant lines. I helped Mummy choose three of them for the artified versions of My Pawtrait. All three artifications utilised artsy-fartsy effects from BeFunky and here is the furrst, using the Rotoscope GFX+ filter:

Next, We used one of Our New Favourites - the Watercolour Splash GFX+ effect:

And finally, another one of Our Favourites - Impressionist Soft GFX:

Which one do you like best? Let Us know in the Comments section below.

Now, We shall add the blog hop badges:

Because of Mummy's crazy schedule for the rest of the month, We don't want to make any purr-omises, but We shall do Our furry best to be here again next week, same Cat Time, same Cat Channel.

Till next time then (whenever that may be).

Be safe. Be well. We love you all.

Better Late Than Never: Shimshi's Smouldering Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Greetings, Effurrybuddies!

We hope nobuddy was worried when We failed to post yesterday. Mummy had a follow-up appointment with her oncologist and, as often happens when one's doctor works in a teaching hospital, it didn't start till over an hour after it was actually scheduled. And then Mummy stayed to have coffee and a croissant with her sister, who had skipped breakfast, and came home through town, where She had a few errands, so by the time She got home, She barely had time for a shower and a Siesta before leaving for Caterwauling Purractice - let alone writing a blog.

Anyway, here We are I am - I, being the Mighty Shimshon (Shimshi for short), Furrst of My Name, the Little Purrince, aka The Baby Mancat, Master of the Queen's Mischiefs and Captain-of-the-Guard. It is My Turn to lead My Fellow J-Cats on the weekend blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightful and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

Here is My Selfie, with Our Beautiful Pawtriotic Frame (do not fur-get that this Wednesday, October 7th, is the third anniversary of the attack on Us by the Evil Humans from Gaza). Sadly, a lot of people around the World seem to have fur-gotten that fact!

Can you see the Smouldering Look in My Gaze?

All the art and frames this week come from LunaPic. Here is the furrst artification, which uses the Pen effect at 37%:

Next, a bright and cheerful version featuring the Watercolour Effect at 70%:

And finally, the kaleidoscopic, jewel-like Nouveau filter, reminiscent of a stained-glass window and set to 85%:

Do you have a favourite? Let Us know in the Comments section below.

And here, before We fur-get, are the blog hop badges:

Mummy's schedule for the rest of this month is going to be Supurr Busy and Supurr Erratic, because of all the extra rehearsals and the four opurra purr-formances of Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci in the second half of October, but She will do her furry best to keep posting regularly effurry week, same Cat Time, same Cat Channel.

Till next time then - be safe. Be well. We love you all!
