Caspurr's Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies for Sukkot

Greetings, Effurryone!

It is I, Sir Caspurr the Courageous, the Caspicatious, Furrst of My Name, the Snuggle-Bug, Commander-in-Chief of the Impurrial Forces and King of the Tigger-Tabbies, here to lead my fellow J-Cats on the weekend blog hops -  the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Snoozies Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Deliciously and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

As is Our Custom, We have chosen a lovely picture of Me napping (Well? Well? I am a Cat, after all!!!), which Mummy framed with the help of LunaPic and which We artified with effects from BeFunky. These, too, were framed by LunaPic.

So, let's leap straight in with the original Pawtrait:

Artification no. #1 used the Impressionist Soft GFX+ effect:

For no. #2, We chose the Orton Painting effect:

And finally, something completely different - Ink Brush GFX+:

Do you have a favourite? We'd love to hear from you about that in the Comments section below.

And now, We have something special for you, because all this week, We are celebrating the Sukkot (Tabernacles) holiday, which started on Friday evening. Knowing Us, it will be no surprise to you to learn that you are all invited to celebrate with Us throughout the week, in Our Sukkah, which is situated in the plaza in front of the Western Wall in Jerusalem's Old City. Just drop by whenever you feel like it, We will be there the whole week. And it will give you an oppurrtunity to see the Holy Sites in and around the Old City of Jerusalem!

See what a beautiful Sukkah We have built!

Now, before We fur-get, here are the blog hop badges:

Whether you make it to Our Sukkah or not, We hope to see you all again next week, same Cat Time, same Cat Channel.

Chag Sameach (חג שמח - Happy Holiday) to each and effurry one of you!

Be safe. Be well. We love you all.

Yom Kippurr: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies With Queen Trixie

Greetings, Effurrybody!

Queen Trixie here, repurresenting the J-Cats in this weekend's blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightfully and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

Do you like the frame, which Mummy designed herself, with a little help from LunaPic?  Besides the Magen David, the references to the Israeli flag and the shofar, or ram's horn, symbolising the High Holy Days, we also have the Scales of Justice, because tonight is the start of Yom Kippurr (the Day of Atonement), when the whole world stands before the Heavenly Throne, awaiting Judgement.

All the art this week is from BeFunky, but the frames are from LunaPic.

Furrst of all, here I am with the Realist GFX effect:

Next, We used the delicate and elegant Sunlit Gouache GFX effect, at 65%:

And finally, the somewhat playful Crayon GFX effect:

In other news, We are sure you will be relieved to hear that Mummy finished her course of radio-therapy without any side effects (that We know of), except for feeling rather tired. In a couple of weeks, She has an appointment with her oncologist, and they will decide if Mummy needs any further treatment.

Now, since tonight, as We said, is the start of the Day of Atonement, before We go, We would like to wish all of you, and your pawrents, a Good "Final Sealing", or, as We say in Hebrew - גמר חתימה טובה  (Gmar Hatima Tova).

May you all be inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life.

A Rosh Hashanah Card from the J-Cats: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Greetings, Effurrybody!

Well, We thought We might not have time to post this week but We have just about made it after all and so We can still take part in the weekend blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightful and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

This week, We have prepurred a Rosh Hashanah Greeting Card from all three of Us (and Mummy too, though She doesn't appear in the frame):

We also made four different artifications.

The furrst one uses the Daisies art effect at 54%:

The next Work of Art employed the Dark effect at 60% with a light overlay of Splash at 15%:

For Our third creation this week, Mummy chose the Hunger effect at 62%. According to her, it's furry suitable as She claims Our Stomachs appear to be Bottomless Pits (mol)!

Finally, a spectacular burst of colour with Nouveau at 55%:

Effurrything was created with the help of LunaPic this week.

It's evening here and Mummy intends to have an early night in prepurration for starting her radio-therapy treatment tomorrow. We will try to visit as many of you as pawssible before She turns off the Computer and goes to beddie. If We don't make it this evening, We will try later in the week. At all events, We hope to be here again next week (though it will be the eve of the Day of Atonement), same Cat Time, same Cat Channel. Meanwhile, be safe. Be well. We love you all.

Shimshi's Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies for Rosh Hashanah

Hallo again, Effurrybuddies!

I, the Mighty Shimshon (Shimshi for short), the Little Purrince, (aka The Baby Mancat), Furrst of My Name,  Master of the Queen's Mischiefs and Captain-of-the-Guard, am here to lead My Fellow J-Cats on the last of the weekend blog hops for the year 5786, according to the Mewish calendar - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Deliciously and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

My Human picked out two pictures of Me this week, and each of them was artified twice - once, with BeFunky and once with Lunapic. Lunapic also helped create the frames.

Mummy snapped this furrst picture as I was purrforming My Evening Ablutions:

As you know, I have asked Her repeatedly to respect My Privacy at such times, but does She listen?  No!
Still, I have to admit She created a furry nice frame, which makes refurrence to the fact that the Mewish New Year starts this coming Furriday evening, by incorporating the apple, honey and pomegranate which are amongst the traditional symbols of Rosh Hashanah.

We artified this furrst of all with Befunky's Vibrant Oil GFX+ effect set at 50%:

Then We tried a combination of LunaPic filters - Rave at 48% and Waves at 40%:

Naturally, after having My Privacy invaded in such a manner, I was rather annoyed, so I stuck out My Tongue at Her. Big Mistake. Of course, She thought that was cute - so She went and took another picture!

Honestly, a Kitty just can't win!
Anyway, this one was artified by BeFunky, using the Impressionist GFX effect at 75%:

This one, too, then received the LunaPic treatment, with a combination of Monster and Yarn at 60% and 40% respectively:

Now for the rest of the News. As We mentioned before, Uncle D. is here for the High Holy Days. Speaking of the High Holy Days, We might not be able to post next week, because Sunday, when We usually post, is actually the second day of Rosh Hashanah - and the following day, Mummy starts her radio-therapy treatment, which will be effurry day for the rest of the week. Five treatments in all, to make sure effurry last Evil Cancer Cell that might pawssibly still be there, is totally destroyed! So We will take the oppurr-tunity NOW to wish you all the best for the coming year, 5787.
