Friday 13th

Greetings, Effurrybody!

Mummy was not pleased today! She waited for her Cleaning Lady, who always comes on Friday - and the Cleaning Lady did not arrive!
So Mummy phoned her. And the Cleaning Lady said she was ill.
Mummy wished her better and hung up and then she said to Us, that this was a DISASTER! Because last Friday was Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, so the Cleaning Lady didn't come then either. And Mummy really, really, really wanted the house to be Super Clean, because tomorrow is not only Shabbat, but Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. And it's been Two Whole Weeks since the house was properly cleaned - two weeks in which We Kitties have been very busy creating something that Mummy calls "havoc"...

Just a minute! Trixie here. It is Caspurr who has been "busy". Ever since his mancat parts were stolen, he has been more aggressive than effur. It's as if he feels he has to prove something - so he has been madly dashing about the place, tearing things up, chewing up cactuses, chasing Me, knocking over flower pots and spilling earth all over the floor. I have had to spend most of my time in my Panic Room refuge Boudoir - which I share with Mummy and have therefore kept scrupulously clean, as befits a well-bred, well brought-up ladycat...

Oy! That's not fair! I (Caspurr) get lonely and bored when Trixie and Mummy retire to the Boudoir. What do they expect Me to do? I have to do something to keep my spirits up.

Trixie here again! Mummy says I should tell you, that if you're a Good Kitty, I will come out and play with you. But I'm telling you, you've got to stop jumping on me all the time. I don't always feel like playing and you need to respect that I need my Own Space. You have your own apartment on the balcony, after all.

Caspurr here. Okay. It's a deal (at least, I'll try...)

Now we'd like to wish all our anipals and their Humans - G"mar Chatima Tova". And to the Humans, who have a peculiar concept called "fasting" - which means (gasp) Not Eating for a WHOLE DAY on this day they call "Yom Kippur" (we thought that meant Day of the Kippers, but it appears, sadly, that We were wrong) - have an Easy Fast!

We hope you had an easy fast, dear friends. Well, we hope your Mummy did, anyway. Because we sure hope you, Trixie and Caspurr, did not have to fast for Yom Kippur!

Big hugs, dear friends.

Oh, thank you, dear Meowmeowmans!
Our Mummy didn't have all that easy a fast because it was VERY, VERY hot yesterday - like about 36 degrees C. she says. But she made it through the whole 25+ hours.
No, We didn't have to fast. In fact, Mummy made sure We had plenty to eat. No kippers though :-(

We think Caspurr is making up for the evil vet stealing his man parts! Maybe he needs a big stuffed toy dog to take his aggression out on ;)
