Shimshi's Caturday Art and Sunday Selfie For St. Patrick's Day

Okay, okay - Full Disclosure. We do not celebrate St. Patrick's Day. However, We know that many of you do, so I, The Mighty Shimshon (Shimshi for short) aka The Little Purrince, aka The Baby Mancat (even though I am nearly 10 years old!), Master of the Queen's Mischiefs and Captain of the Guard, decided to make a gesture to that festival as We prepurr to join this weekend's blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightful and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

My Selfie, therefore, has a Green Shamrock frame. Tasteful and not too fussy, We think.

For the Caturday Art, We used LunaPic's  Garden effect, which has a lot of green in it, at 55%, to further enhance the St. Patrick's Day theme:

We made a second artification with the Quirky effect, this time at 60%. Which do you prefurr?

We have been spending a lot of time snuggling with Mummy or curled up on her lap, and She could not resist taking photos of Us while We were doing that, so here, as a Bonus, is another Selfie of Me (you can also see a bit of Caspurr's back, because We were sharing Mummy's lap at the time):

We artified this one as well - furrst, with the Grey filter at 75%:

And secondly, with Frida - one of Our Favourites, which We haven't used for quite a while:

I don't know about you, but I think this last one makes Me look older than I am. What do you think?

And here, before We forget, are the blog hop badges:

Next week is Purim, and We hope to celebrate it (despite the furry subdued and un-celebratory mood in the country, because of the war and the hostages still being held in Gaza) up in the Enchanted Forest. Details in next week's post.

Meanwhile, Mummy did manage to post about last week's field trip in her own bloggie, which you and your Humans are invited to read. These trips are happening at an alarming rate (for Us, anyway, as We don't like being left alone at home all day) - and, in fact, She has another one tomorrow, up north (paws crossed that the Bad Humans over the border there don't start firing rockets and things in Mummy's direction)...

And now, it's time to start blog-hopping. See you all next week. Till then, Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you who celebrate it.

Be well. Be safe. We love you all.

Thank you for sharing in our "Irish celebration" ... can't choose a piece of art as all are so charmingly done ... and the close up selfies are amazing! Keeping you close in prayers, always.

Dear Shimshi thank you for showing the Irish green today. You're very handsome no matter how you pose or where. You and your first siblings and your mummy must continue the tradition of celebrating Purim. It is Traditions like this they keep us grounded during the worst of time.

Oooh, I love the second and surprise selfie, though the artified version in yellow doesnt do you justice at all. The first selfie is delightful and squaking into first place is the first art version.

I like ALL the selfies.

I live near an Irish pub, so I might pop in their for a pint and raise a glass to Shimshi.

I misspelled "there" as "their". I guess I must have had a few already. (They told me it was milk.)

Selfies look great. I don’t know anyone who thinks of St. Patrick’s Day as a religious holiday. It is more of an excuse to wear bright green outfits and drink.

All terrific portraits, Shimshi! Can't choose a favorite. That's a nice St.Pat's Day frame. Have a good holiday next week and continued purrs for your safety.

Lovely pics and art! Mum doesn't really celebrate St.Patrick's Day either. As far as she knows, she has no Irish ancestry but she's drawn to Ireland and loves Celtic music.

Honestly? I can't pick a single photo that I like best. You look different in each one!

Shimshi, truth be told, I don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day, either!

Your selfies are terrific, though. I especially like the quirky effect for its warmer tones, and your second, lap selfie, is so sweet. ♥

Take care, all of you. :-)

Adorable selfie. And I love all the art effects. Thank you for the kind words of comfort you left on my blog for the loss of Lucy. XO

These are all delightful, and yes, the shamrock border is excellent. My favorite is the second selfie done in the gray effect, it's supurb.

The history of Purim is one of my favorites. Queen Esther was so brave.

I will be praying your mother is kept safe on her trip tomorrow.

I am praying for the peace of Jerusalem.

Shimshi, we think your selfies are great, and we like that St.Patrick's Day theme. We don't really celebrate it either, but it's fun to see all the special posts today. :)

Where will your Mum be touring tomorrow in the North? I have many friends and colleagues in and around Haifa, and know things seem to be escalating there. Purring and praying for peace and safety. XO

Nice art! I like the second art with the shamrock frome the best. Nice closeup, too!!

Praying for safety on your Mom's field trip, too.

Us pups dressed up for a few minutes for the 'day of green', but then it all came off and we were naked in our own furs once again, BOL!

That is so nice of you to show your wearing o' the green in your pictures. Furry nice pics and we like the one with the gray filter too. Praying for safety for y'all and sending much love and positivity your way for safe days always. xo

All your artworks are great, Shimshi and we don't think that you look old at all😺😸 Oh and we like the Quirky effect very much, unbelievable how you can change into so many different colors in such a short time😹Double Pawkisses for a peaceful week ahead🐾😽💞

Well, we don't really "do" St Patrick's Day quite either. But we always get that green catnip then and that is good. And we dont have many snakes around here either.

Furries said...

Ooh, I really like your second-last artwork (gray filter). Around here, Saint Patrick's Day is just an excuse for the local bars to sell a lot of beer & booze and people party.

Smudge said...

Your up-close original is our favorite, though they're all quite creative.

CCL Wendy said...

Wow, I really like your Paddy's Day art with the shamrocks, and the close up of your sweet face. Yes, St. Patrick's Day is not at the top of our list to celebrate either. Where we live in Canada, it's all about drinking beer too much.

I wish you to have a good Purim celebration, and that your family keeps safe during these disturbing times.
