Greetings, Effurrybody!
Queen Trixie here - as the J-Cats' Official Repurrysentative to this weekend's blog hops: the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Delightful and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.
I am sorry to have to report that, after almost a week of lovely, spring-like weather, today it is once again cold and rainy! At least, it was earlier this morning. The sun has now peeped out from behind the clouds, but more rain is expected later in the day and through the night, as well as tomorrow. Ah, well - that's spring for you. At least the almond trees are in blossom and everything is green on the hill across the road and down in the valley below the living-room window.
So I decided this picture was the purrfect choice for today's Sunday Selfie. All that was left to do was to artify it, which I did with the help of LunaPic.
My furrst attempt used the Smoke Effect at 55%, with an overlay of Surreal at 90%:
I look quite sultry, don't I? That's one of the reasons I like the Smoke filter.
The next artification uses Dark, at 35%, overlaid again with Surreal, this time at only at 85%:
Last, but not least, the Scribble effect at 70% was brightened up by the brilliant, artsy-fartsy colours of Candy at 40%:
I didn't think about it at the time, but of course, the cushion with its colourful Flutterby and Flower also adds to the feeling of Spring.
Mummy had really hot weather for her field-trip last week. She started writing about it on her own bloggie the furry next day, but as She wanted to include the concert the week before, and various other things, and as Things Happened even as She was writing (like Mew-nicipal elections on Tuesday and another terrorist attack on Thursday in which two people were murdered), it all took much longer than planned and so it isn't quite ready yet. She hopes to finish it tomorrow.
She had better - because She is going to be furry busy later this week, with a lecture concert and a doctor's appointment and an Opurra - and next week, She has yet another field-trip! There is going to be a lot to write about.
Here now are the blog hop badges:
Now it is time for LUNCH - after which, We start blog hopping. See you all again next week.
Till then - be well. Be safe. We love you all.

Sweet queen Trixie we are so glad to hear from you today. Sounds like your weather is been up and down. If Mom was sweating on her trip and then you get the cold rain, it's kind of miserable. But we're glad to hear that she made the trip. And you look quite lovely as we look through your window with you and see all that greenery. No trees blooming here yet where I live it's about 2 months too soon. And it's getting rather boring.
Dearest Queen Trixie,
You have such a wonderful outlook on life through that window!
Thanks for sharing that with us.
Here we had warm 27°C and then wind and rain came in. Today will be 24°C and right now still morning fog...
The petals from the Japanese Magnolia are mostly down from wind and rain...
But spring is approaching steadily here.
Hugs,
Mariette
Spring weather is getting us all. We had a hard frost this morning and minus temps. A half clear day has followed. Still too iffy to go out for long. In bed or a room with a view is where we want to be. And if, perchance a sun puddle comes, well, that's a real bonus. We love the brighter colours of the artwork this week, but cant pick between them so it is a draw, MOL
You all stay safe, well, and enjoy the upcoming birthday party as well as the opera.

You look most beautiful Queen Trixie! I hope some warm temperatures come back to see you soon. Love your gorgeous art. Y'all be safe over there.
You have a lovely view out of your window. All of your art is beautiful and I can't choose a favourite.
Hello there, beautiful Trixie! We love the artistic treatment of your lovely photo (which we love, too, of course). Sorry to hear the dreary weather comes back, but how nice that the almond trees are in bloom now. :)
Your special effects look great! Stay safe, and I hope this week is pleasant for you.
It hasn't been too cod here, but it has been rainy and we sure hate that.
No tree blossonms yet here, so we envy you the almond ones. But we will have cherry and saucer magnolia blossoms in a few weeks. Those are always nice.
I love the Smoke filter, it is a little bit subtle isn't it? Sometimes a little touch makes a big difference.
Your Majesty, you are quite beautiful. The third artwork sets off the butterfly quite well, I do like that.
I do hope your Mummy has an especially fun time at the Opurra.
I am praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
That's a beautiful photo, and the artwork is lovely too!
You are beautiful. I love all the effects but the dark/surreal is my favorite. XO
What a lovely picture of you, Trixie. I hope your weather improves. You’re right…this is how spring usually is.
Oh my tunnel has them and they are current. I will absolutely be there. Can't wait to read about your Mom's next field trip. My mom loves them.
Happy Early Birthday #11 to your brofur, Caspurr!
That sure is a lovely view that you have out of that window. Are you up high in your apartment?
I like the artworks, but somehow the original seems to me the nicest with the bright colors...which means I like the second artowrk the best! LOL!
Love the picture of Queen Trixie with the beautiful green spring color in the background! So I guess the second pic is my favorite, though the other art effects are cool 😎 too. Purrs going out to you for safety.

Excellent view from there, Queen Trixie. We think the first artified one is the best.
