Happy Gotcha Day, Caspurr: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Hallo again, Effurryone!


It is I, Sir Caspurr the Courageous, Furrst of My Name, Purrtector of the Realm (that is a New Title Mummy has bestowed upon Me), Commander-in-Chief of the Impurrial Forces, King of the Tigger-Tabbies!


It is, by rights, Trixie's turn to star in the Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies blog hops this week (hosted by, respectively, the Lovely and Wise Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Amazing and Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet). But since today is a Furry Special Day for Me, She graciously de-furred to Me.

Today is My Gotcha Day. Yes, Anipals - eight years ago TODAY, Mummy gotcha-ed Me. Well, the Truth is, I gotcha-ed Mummy (mol). I remember her taking Me in Her arms and asking Me if I would like to come home with her and be Her Kitty and live with her for EFFUR and I just purred and purred. I was a furry tiny kitty then, just about a month old, and I don't suppose I really understood what was going on. I just knew I felt safe and loved in Her arms.  And a couple of days later, my Foster Mummy brought Me round to my New Home and the rest, as they say, is History. Well, actually, it's MYstery (My Story. Get it? Get it? MOL!)

We actually have quite a lot of Celebrating to do this week.  Besides My Gotcha Day today, Thursday is Israel's Independence Day, and next Shabbat (April 17th) is Shimshi's 7th birthday. We are going to be celebrating all three of these meowmentous events on Thursday, with a stupendous Barbecue up in the Enchanted Forest overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem, starting at 2 pm Israel time and going on far into the night. We hope to see you there. (Any volunteers ready to come early and help set up the Bar will be greatly appurreciated.)

Now, the picture above was taken this meowning after breakfast, when I was having a little snooze in my Favourite  Post-Breakfast Snooze Spot, in the Laundry Basket, which is in the Utility Room and catches the Meowning Sunshine to Purrfection.  Mummy artified it with the Watercolour Effect from Luna-Pic, set to 50%.
