Greetings, Effurryone!
We had almost given up hope, but the Skywater finally arrived. It started last Fursday, with a short, heavy downpour. On Furriday, there was some more, especially in the evening - but then, on Caturday, the Windows of Heaven opened with a vengeance, the tempurratures plummeted, Mummy brought out the warm, flannel bedlinen - and even turned on the central heating. The sudden, heavy rains caused flooding, which led to power cuts (although in Our Street, there was only one, lasting for about five minutes. But Step-Grandma, who lives just a couple of streets away, says it was on and off all evening). It's still rather cloudy and overcast, but the Sun breaks through effurry now and again, and the forecast for the rest of the week is for plenty of sunshine, as well as steadily climbing tempurratures, reaching the upper 20's Celsius.
The downpour last Fursday occurred while Mummy was on her way with her caterwauling pals to take part in the furrst of four purrformances of Die Fledermaus, which is an opurretta by Mr. Johann Strauss Junior. An opuretta is kind of like a mewsical - that's what they called them in the 19th century. Mummy will no doubt write about it in her own bloggie, as well as continuing the story of her adventures in Greece, although she probably won't have time for any of that until after the final purrformance of Die Fledermaus, next weekend. Meanwhile, as a preview, here is an artified selfie of her in her costume (using BeFunky's Impressionist filter - with a frame from LunaPic).
And meowing of artified selfies, it is time for the weekend blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Divinely Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by the Deliciously and Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet. This week, I, Sir Caspurr the Courageous, the Caspicatious, Furrst of My Name, the Snuggle Bug, Commander-in-Chief of the Impurrial Forces, King of the Tigger-Tabbies, will be repurresenting the J-Cats on the blog hops, with this mewtiful picture of Me doing the Most Obvious and Sensible Thing to do on a Cold, Rainy Evening - Snoozing!
We made three different artifications, as is Our Wont - all of them using LunaPic. Furrst of all, We tried a combination of Candy and Watercolour, at 26% and 14% respectively:
Finally, for no. #3, We used Fairy (45%), with an overlay of Gauguin3 (25%):
Which one do you like best? Let Us know in the Comments section below.
Next, We shall put up the blog hop badges. Here they are:
And now, it is time to start blog hopping. COD-willing, We will be back here next week - same Cat Time, same Cat Channel. Till then, be well. Be safe. We love you all.

The first is my favourite, and I love the artified picture of your Mommy in her costume.
We have had lots of rain and flooding here as well. The weather has been unseasonably mild at around 12C but is forecast to drop next week to 6 by day and -2 at night. Better keep the wood burner going!
#2 is my fav.
A napping cat makes humans very happy!
Rain, rain, go away.
Great pic of your mum in costume!
The first artsy version of you is our fave.
Caspurr, how handsome you are in all the art and in real furry life. We so enjoyed seeing how Mum will look in her costume for the big purrformance. These are great selfies. Nice you got some wet stuff. Our temps are headed to cold and gonna stay there too soon.

Wow, Caspurr! That is a stunning picture of your Mummy in her costume! You are looking good today too, Caspurr, with your stripeyness showing beautifully! I think that first artification of your picture is my favorite. It's turned chilly here too but we're not getting the much-needed rain.
Caspurr, your Mummy looks so elegant, so regal in costume!
As for your selfie and art, I like them all, it's too close to call this week!
As for winter, sort of, November has seen us abruptly transition to much cooler temperatures! Our snow is gone, mercifully, but it's been rain and wet snow today. Brrr and ugh. Lol. Still, Spring will be here before we know it! 🙃💕
I'm always thankful for the rain, but not floods. It seems the weather is sometimes all or nothing.
Your Mummy is beautiful.
The selfie is just right, snoozing in the rain is exactly what should be done. The first artification is my favorite.
I am praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
Caspurr, I wanna curl up with you and take a nap too! ~Murphy
A more peaceful kitty we have never seen. We like all the pictures, but #4 is our fav!

You are such a cutie. I love all your art, especially the candy/watercolor combo. Your mum looks amazing. That is a fancy costume. XO
She looks great! And I love your sleepy photo and art.
Your Mum looks very pretty and you look fabulous Sir Caspurr! Y'all be safe over there!
Caspurr, we like your second art best, though they are all terrific. And how neat to see your mum in her costume for caterwauling! We're glad you got some much-needed rain. XO
Oh, I love your Mummy‘s costume! She looks lovely. And I like your artifications too.
Hello,
Love your Mummy in the beautiful costume. Cute kitty and pretty kitty art! Hope your Caturday was wonderful. Have a happy week!
Ohlala! Your Mummy is beautiful! What role is she singing?
Right now us puops look very similar to you, Caspurr! LOL! We like all of those selfie artifications!
She is in the choir, not portraying any particular character. The choir portrays the party guests in Acts 2 and 3.
Okay, Thanks!
Firstly, how i the world I missed this bloggie I will never know! I love that your Momma posted a picture of herself n her Caterwauling costume! It is complete with a beautiful fan! I love it. She will have been the stand-out Caterwauler of the Operetta! Can't wait to see a posting of her in that! AND to learn about her adventures in Greece. My niece by marriage...though the marriage is long over I still love my niece... went to Greece two years ago to catch up with her Greek relatives. She still writes occasionally about it in her weekly posting. She is an author. Love and hugs to all four of you!
