Yes! It is I, the Mighty Shimshon (Shimshi for short) aka The Little Purrince, Furrst of My Name, the Baby Mancat, Master of the Queen's Mischiefs and Captain of the Guard.
What a lot We have to celebrate this week - despite the bad Humans in Gaza shooting rockets at Us all last week. On Furriday, they even fired a few boomies in the direction of Jerusalem, where We live - which they don't usually do. But don't worry about Us, We are all right. The rockets only reached the outer suburbs of southern Jerusalem. Nobody was hurt - at least, not in Jerusalem, although, sadly, an 80-year-old woman was killed by a rocket that hit her apawtment building in Rehovot.
Now for the Good Things! As We mentioned before, Pawty Season is well and truly underway. Tomorrow is My Gotcha Day Anni-fursary, marking the day nine years ago when Step-Grandma (who is also My Godmother) brought Me, a tiny 1-month-old kitten whose Kitty Mamma had rejected him, to live with My Mummy. That was the Best Day of My Life. Since then, I have lacked for nothing. I have plenty of food (too much, Mummy says, but She hasn't the Willpower to keep Me on a diet - MOL), plenty of warm, cosy places to curl up and nap, a brofur and sisfur to play with, and a Mummy who loves Me unconditionally! I am the luckiest kitty in the world!
Speaking of Step-Grandma, who rescued Me - on Wednesday, it is her 75th birthday. She was born just two days after the State of Israel. Many Happy Returns, Grandma!
Well, those two events are reason enough for celebration, but there's more to come!
On Friday, Yom Yerushalayim marks the liberation and reunification of Jerusalem during the Six Day War in 1967, after it had been illegally occupied by Jordan for 19 years.

So, since none of Us (including Mummy) have the strength to organise three pawties in one week, We are going to celebrate all these Happy Events in one HUGE picnic pawty and barbecue up in the Enchanted Forest this coming Friday at 2 pm Israel Time. There will be loads and loads of all Our/Your Favourite Noms, including (but not limited to) oodles of mice cream, salmon mousse, tuna cake, barbecued trout, chicken pie, caviar - as well as a well-stocked bar (We have laid in extra supplies of catmint juleps, and plenty of the fruit of the silvervine). All We need now, to make it purrfect, is for as many of you to be there as pawssible.
It is a Happy Coincidence that it also happens to be My Turn to lead My Fellow J-Cats on the weekend blog hops - the Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies blog hop, hosted by Our Dear Furriends, the Predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.
You can see My Selfie at the top of this week's post. For once, I am not snoozing but am wide awake and alert.

The artification is in honour of Israel's Eurovision Song Contest entry which took third place in last night's competition - Unicorn, sung by Noa Kirel. As We so often do, We used LunaPic to add the unicorn horn, and then added the Starry2 art effect at 70%. On top of that, we placed an overlay of Rave at 30% and finished off the whole with a custom frame.
And here are the blog hop badges:
Now, it is time for Us to sign off so as to give Mummy time to have a rest before Caterwauling Practice.
We hope to see you at My Gotcha Day Pawty (yes, I know it's a Multi-Purrpose Pawty, but obviously My Gotcha Day Anni-fursary is the Most Impawtant component)!!!
Be well. Be safe. We love you all.

Dear Shimshi, happy birthday with your lovely mum taking such good card of you. And what a picnic it will be. We love the colorful artwork and wish the rest of the family a happy week ahead. So many parties you have been having and inviting the rest of us fur babies to visit. Precious
We are so pleased all bar one are safe. For the dear one who lost her life, we are so very sorry. Any life lost is a tragedy, especially as it was needless.
Happy Birthday to you! 9 is a grand age, but aren't they all, mol. The years fly by, and all thanks to your fab mom and good pals and plenty of stimulation.
Do send directions to the enchanted forest. I never know where to go and Mrs H isn't signed off for flying yet, in planes or on carpets 😉
Purrs

PS, your selfie, and the art colour is divine, though I am not sure I could carry off the horn as well as you. I know Mrs H would want me to use mine for litter picking, MOL

Lots of fun celebrations!!!
We can send the coordinates to any teleportation device you choose (such as a Tunnel, Flying Bed or Carpet etc.) and all you have to do then, is to set it to Automatic Pilot.

Oh my, you DID make me laugh, a CATicorn alright * giggle * Well done you!
Shimshi, unicorns are very powerful, indeed. I'm happy you have joined their number, so purrhaps you can help to quell the enemies of your State.
To me it is remarkable that you can still celebrate under the circumstances, but I guess celebrating is a moral victory. I hope it all goes well. The food certainly promises to be delicious.
Love to you all,
Wendy & Dani
