Trixie Has the Sads: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

Hallo again, Effurrybody!

Trixie here, hoping you all enjoyed the Mew Year's pawties and that 2022 has started well for you all.

The Mew Year has actually started off furry sadly for Us, especially Mummy, because her brovver, Our Uncle D., has gone back to England. We hope to see him back here in the Spring, for a family wedding, but with all the travel restrictions because of the Evil Coronavirus, (which is now entering its third year!) there is no telling what will happen.
We think We might have won over Uncle D. to being a Cat-Purrson (which he has always insisted he is not) - at least he gave Shimshi some head scritches when he was here yesterday to say goodbye. We hope so. It is furry embarrassing for Mummy, having such a close relative who isn't devoted to Cats!

Anyway, here I am, being extra specially cute and loving to Mummy, to cheer Her up:

And here is a close-up of Me:

I would like to make it quite clear that I am the Proud Possessor of TWO ears, only one of them was hiding under My Head (mol)!

These are the pictures We have chosen to repurresent the J-Cats in this weekend's blog hops - the Caturday Art Blog Hop hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie  and the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by the Delightfully Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

We have therefore artified both pictures (with the help of LunaPic) and We hope you will tell Us which is your Favourite.

Furrst  of all, here is the full length pose, eyes, fangs, tummy and all, in Stained Glass at 70%:

And here is the same photo, Showing Me in Dreaming mode, at 40%:

And here is the close-up. We don't usually use the Sadness filter, because We are opposed to Sadness of any kind, on principle, but this time, it was unavoidable, because Mummy is so furry sad. But We would not allow her to set it at more than 70%:

And finally, here it is (that is to say, I am) in Grey at 60%:

Next, here are the blog hop badges:

Now all that is left is to wish you all, once more, a Happy Mew Year and to remind you and your Humans that the Beastly, Evil, Rotten Old Coronavirus is still lurking around the corner and to take effurry Precaution against it.

Be well. Be safe. We love you all.

XOXOX

Your Selfies are magnificent and that artwork is too, especially the sad filter. We love that too, I only think it has to change its name intoo the JOY filter, don't you agree? Maybe you can see your uncle soon. This year will be a much better year, purromise😺
🎊Pawkisses for a Happy Healthy New Year to all of you
and and hope that all your wishes come true
in 2022✨🐾😽💞

Hey, you kitties should feel happy that your uncle might be the newest cat purrrson!

Yes, it does make the heart have pangs when loved ones have to leave for places far away...but at least nowadays we do have good telephones and the Zoom stuff.
Petcretary hasn't seen her sister and brother and cousins for over two years, now...yes, this pandemic sure puts a wrench in those traveling plans we hope for.

Nice art!!

I love your one-eared portrait. You look really cool because the light adds depth to your kitty gorgeousness.

Happy New Year.

We do like your final two art projects the best…probably as we can see your face in both, and that makes us happy. We think if a photo makes us happy, it counteracts that sad filter. Thanks for hopping and Happy Mew Year. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet

I sure hope you convinced your uncle to be a cat lover. How could he meet you cuties and not love you? I love all your art, very pretty. XO

Your art is lovely. I like Sadness the best. I often use it on top of another filter at maybe 30% because I like the way it changes the first filter. I also wish they would change the name though.
I hope your uncle is able to come back. Hopefully any more new variants will become weaker and weaker until they don't pose a threat.

Trixie! These are all so lovey we can not pick one! So we choose them all. We do think that you may have started to sway your Uncle D over to Cat tolerance. Tolerance leads to respect and respect to LOVE! Our very own Daddy did NOT like cats at all until he lived with our Mom and he became a great lover of cats. Sending you much love and purrs and stay safe from the evil Covid.

Trixie, you did a great job with your selfie and art. Beautiful, as always!

Sorry that Uncle D had to go back home. We do hope he is able to come visit again soon.

Hugs!

Happy New Year to you all, Trixie. We, too, think your adorable Self surely must have cheered your mum. Our biped thinks it's rather lucky your mum has a brother (any sibling), as the biped is an only child with little family. We certainly hope you get to see your Uncle D in 2022!

Hopefully Uncle will be able to visit again for the wedding. Covid or not, the world has to get functioning normally again (hopefully safely). Despite the name, I like the art where you used the sadness filter.

Whoa! Trixie, the artified closeups are my faves. Did I hear Israel is starting to give 4th vaccines? Your health dept knows what it's doing; our's don't so this thing will be here to stay.

HAPPY NEW YEAR my friends! Hopefully your uncle will be able to return soon AND hopefully he'll come bearin' scritches. Lots and lots of scritches. Cats can never have too many scritches, you know. PURRS
