Hallo again, Effurrybody!
As you can see, it is I - Queen Trixie, Furrst of My Name, Empurress of Jerusalem, Israel and the Entire Middle East, Queen of Hearts, Guardian of the Boudoir, Alpha Kitty Extraordinaire.
I am leading my fellow J-Cats on this week's blog hops - the Caturday Art Blog Hop, which is hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie and the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, which is hosted by the Wonderfully Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.
This has been a furry sad time for Us lately. It was only after We had uploaded last week's post and began hopping to other blogs that We read of the totally unexpected departure of yet another dear, dear furriend for the Rainbow Bridge - beautiful Tuna (a.k.a. Toona) from the Tabbies o' Trout Towne blog.
We are absolutely gutted at this dreadful loss and send gentle purrs of consolation to Tuna's Food Service Gurl, Laura.
The skywater which finally started falling the day before yesterday was surely fed by the many, many tears of Tuna's friends, both quadruped and biped. Mr. Sunshine seems to have gone into hiding. Mummy has taken out her warm, snuggly clothes. It seems winter has finally arrived.
Last Fursday, Mummy hauled Me off to the V-E-T to get my annual shots and also to check out my teefs and my eyes. I was furry, furry Angry and I let the V-E-T know it! It wasn't Our usual V-E-T, this time - although he has seen Us before. He's the young, good-looking one. Well, I say "handsome is as handsome does"! He put Me in one of those horrible Squeeze Cages so that I couldn't move while he stabbed Me! And he has given Mummy drops to put in my eyes, which have been bothering Me of late, as well as ointment for my gums which are slightly enflamed.
Yes, Good Luck with that, Mummy. Do not expect any co-operation from Moi! I'll make you wish you had a pair of baseball gloves (mol).

Do you like the photo We have used for the Sunday Selfies? It was actually taken last month, but We haven't had an oppurrtunity to use it till now. It is one of My Favourite Pawtraits of Me. I think it makes Me look rather sultry, don't you?
For the Caturday Art, We tried various arts-fartsy effects on LunaPic. Tell Us in the comments below which is your favourite.
Furrst up, here is that same pawtrait, with the Illusion effect set at 50%:

And finally, We combined Sketch2 at 70% with the Painted effect:
So, which do you like best?
And let's not forget the blog hop badges:
A few weeks back, We purromised to tell you more about Mummy's mewsical projects. Well, you can read all about them on Mummy's own bloggie. Feel free to skip the bit about the Evil Coronavirus - but remember that it is still with Us, so continue to take all necessary precautions.
Wishing all Our Furriends in the Mewnited States of Ameowrica a Happy Thanksgiving!
Be well. Be safe. We love you all.

Gorgeous arty effects Trixie!
Well beautiful girl, you look splendid! and the idea of baseball gloves...yes. Those could be used here too! Every time I go to the vet for my shots and exam.
Your selfie is very pretty Queen Trixie and so is your art!
Trixie, your portrait is beautiful, and we love your artwork. That last one looks like a charcoal drawing!
Sorry you had to go to the V-E-T. That is definitely not fun at all.
Beautiful photo and art today. I wish you would let your Mom get that stuff on your gums, it will make them feel all better Trixie.
The Illusion is my favourite effect. What lovely big floofy paws you have!
Trixie, ugh, we're sorry you were carted off to the v-e-t. Do try to let your mum help you, though, by letting her give you the meds you need.
As for your wonderful artwork, we favour the first, illusion, though all are good!
Take care; purrs from Derry.
A cage? I don't think I've ever seen them used for that purpose. Hope your eyes and gums get better soon. You don't want to go back to the V-E-T anytime soon!
Trixie! Your art is gorgeous! We love all of the Pictures. Thanks for the kind words about Mom. We try to take care of her by laying on her and purring. She has thumbs and can open the cat food tins (and scoop the poop). The sooner she is mobile the sooner we can be taken care of in the manner to which we have become accustomed.
You poor thing...such abuse! Beautiful selfie and art though :)
That was sad about Tuna. I am sorry you had to go to the vet. Please cooperate with the meds so you can feel better. Beautiful art, the second is my favorite. XO
We were upset about Tuna too. Such a great loss.
Appreciate tour cool filter selfies tho.
Love the one with the painting effect. Sorry to hear sad news and also that you suffered indignities at the V-E-T. Let your mom take care of you, even though it is difficult to bear.
Oh, to have all those kitties on OUR bed.
What lovely artwork this week, Trixie! I'm sorry you had to go to the vet but at least that's over now. I am sad about Tuna too. He will be missed. ~Ernie
What a beautiful tribute you've written for sweet angel Toona. He'll be missed sorely😿That artwork is very beautiful, Trixie💗💗We also want to Thank you for your Birthday wishes for Me and My Granny, they warmed our heart and brightened up our day💗 Extra Pawkisses just for all of you and one Healing Pawkiss to feel better soon just for you🐾😽💞
I'm glad to hear your trip to the vet was only mildly traumatic. It's ok that you let him know you weren't happy, but it's unfortunate they had to put you in a squeeze to take care of you. Hopefully you will let your mom give you the medicine to help your eyes and gums get better.
We like all of your art but we like the first two more than the last one.
Ooh, I like each version of your selfie, Trixie, and I like that you take artsy risks.
Oh know, this is the first time I'm learning about Tuna. I can't believe she went OTRB! That leaves me shocked and so sad, and I know her family must be very heartbroken.
