Caspurr the Caspicatious here, to update you on all the News (such as it is) and to lead the J-Cats on this week's blog hops - the Caturday Art Blog Hop, hosted by the Wise and Lovely Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by the predictably Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.
I had just awoken from my post-breakfast pre-lunch nap and was having a lovely stre-e-e-e-e-etch, when I was tricked into becoming the Star of this week's photo-shoot.
Not that I am not fully conscious of my Star Quality, but I am far too Modest to volunteer for the job (mol).
For Our Caturday Art, We tried a couple of different styles.

Now, for the rest of Our News.
Here in Israel, they have decided to go ahead with giving a third COVID jab to the over-60s (a booster shot) starting from today. That is despite the fact that neither the FDA, nor the WHO have yet authorised such shots.
Mummy is in no hurry to receive a third jab. Only 2 months ago they were telling us that the double shot vaccination was apparently good for a whole year. Now, basically, they are telling us it isn't even all that effective for the 6 months for which they claimed it was effective when they started the vaccination campaign. What next? Will they tell us three months from now that we need to have a FOURTH dose? Will we be expected to have boosters every three months? Every two? Every month?
So, kudos to President Herzog and his wife for their purr-sonal example in getting the booster shot - and on live TV, for which they halted the regular scheduled broadcast. But Mummy is tired of being a guinea-pig and intends to sit out this round and await developments. That does NOT mean She has entirely ruled out getting another shot. BUT, She wants to wait and see...
It goes without saying, of course, that She will continue to observe all the Social Distancing and Hygiene rules and recommends that you do too. That means Face-Masks, and, of course, remembering to keep washing those Paws!

The delta variant is really changing the landscape of the battle against COVID-19. It's horrible. We always mask up, even though we are fully vaxxed.
You look like a cat should on a fine Sunday Caspurr. Great pose. Yes Dad has heard that about some countries suggesting a 3rd dose. We are now back to wearing masks again and I guess it will all work out. Purrs

Heavens, such a splendid tummy! We like both your art work pieces, though lean toward the Escher.
Here in Canada some provinces now have dropped ALL public health measures, including isolation upon testing positive, contact tracing, masking up indoors, etc. However, cases are on the rise again because of the Delta variant, and the biped thinks there will be a fourth wave soon enough. (Schools resume in September here.) She doesn't mind getting a third jab, but right now the medical experts seem to be playing a wait and see game: are there enough people who are fully vaccinated to control the spread and prevent crises in hospitals again? We'll have to wait and see. One thing we do know, the biped is NOT unmasking even if Ontario goes ahead and drops all health measures. Goodness, humans are stupid! 2021 and we still have to tell people to practice good personal hygiene. Really?!
Caspurr, that's what I call "letting it all hang out!" Your artwork is very cool! The mom agrees with your mom about the vaccine...seems like information is changing daily which only makes things worse. Is this ever gonna end??? ~Ernie

Caspurr the Caspicatious you look marvellous in both of your art works! We are still furry hot, and we did have about 37 drops of rain...but the worst is the smoke! Mom had to go to Penticton and it did rain quite a bit, the smoky air smelled weird...kind of like a bear who has been swimming in the river and burnt trees. We are expecting more heat this week (with some chances of rain) and purrhaps we shall see you guys at the enchanted forest! Our region in BC is a tourist destination and we have had quite a rise in the Covid Delta variants at the hospitals and we are ALL back to wearing masks indoors. We do wish the tourists would wear theirs and quit complaining about the smoke and the fact they can't go into the back country.Stay safe!

I like both arts, its hard to choose.
We have heard rumblings about a third booster, and so far its not been advised as far as we know. Our delta variant cases are getting to be into the scary high range, petcretary has to wear masks at her work, (healthcare), but though as yet is is not required she does put hers on when she goes shopping, etc...even being fully vaxxed she takes care.
