Trixie's Tall Tail Sunday Selfie and Caturday Art

 Hallo at last, my Faithful Furriends!

Yes! It is I - Queen Trixie, Furrst of My Name, Empurress of Jerusalem, Israel and the Entire Middle East, Queen of Hearts, Guardian of the Boudoir, Alpha Kitty Extraordinaire!

I am back again, after graciously defurring last week and the week before to My Brofurs, who had impawtant dates to celebrate.

I shall be leading the J-Cats for the next two weeks, as We join the Caturday Art Blog Hop hosted by the Beauteous and Wise Athena and her HuMum, Marie,  as well as the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by the Eternally Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.

In My Selfie, above, one of the furrst pics taken with Mummy's new meowbile phone, I have just had a papurr-shredding session in the newspapurr basket. As you can see, I have been doing a number on the old telephone directory (mol). It gave my magnificent talons an EXCELLENT workout, and I think I can be justifiably proud of the result, which was certainly deserving of the Pride displayed in the way I present My Tail in this picture.

For Our Caturday Art, We once again used LunaPic. The Grey Art effect is one of Our Favourites, We used it at 80% - and I think I am not mistaken in saying that it gives an extra prominence to my jewel-like eyes, don't you agree?

Later this week - Furriday, to be precise - is Lag B'Omer - and since We J-Cats never pass up an oppurrtunity for a Celebration, on Thursday night, from 9 pm Israel Time, right through till dawn, We shall be having a bonfire picnic in (no prizes for guessing - mol) the Enchanted Forest, overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem. All Our anipals are, as always, most welcome.

Seven Year Itch - Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies With Shimshi

Hallo again, Effurrybuddies!

For the second week in succession, Trixie has furry nobly given up her Turn to lead the J-Cats on the Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies blog hops - hosted by the Wise and Lovely Athena and her HuMum, Marie and by the Famously Unpurrdictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet, respectively. She did this because yesterday was My Seventh Birthday. As We mentioned last week, We had a joint Celebration picnic on Thursday, Israel's Independence Day, in honour of Caspurr's Gotcha Day, My Birthday, and Independence Day.  Also, Caspurr unselfishly gave up his favourite spot in the laundry basket to Me ...

(Trixie here. He didn't really. Shimshi just got there before him and refused to budge - MOL).

(Caspurr here. Don't be such a sneak, Trixie. We all know you wouldn't have given up your turn to Shimshi if Mummy hadn't purromised you that you could lead the next two blog hops!)

For Our Caturday Art, Mummy thought it would be nice to issue a gold commemorative coin in My Honour - and here it is!

If you biggify it, you can see that it is a coin issued by the Kingdom of Mischiefs. That is because, in addition to all my other Royal Titles, I am Master of the Queen's Mischiefs (MOL).

Now, here is an update on the Evil Coronavirus. Here in Israel, the vaccine rollout has been going so well and the numbers of sick and newly-infected have fallen so much, that, as of today, it is no longer mandatory to wear a face-mask in public spaces, as long as these are Out of Doors. All the schools have gone back to normal, without having to learn in "capsules" or Study Bubbles, the theatres and concert halls can reopen (as long as the audience is seated in accordance with the two metre distancing rule and wearing masks - because these are indoor venues) and, best of all (for Mummy, at least), Caterwauling Club rehearsals are back to normal, even for the Big Choir, which can now hold rehearsals for the whole 130 caterwaulers at once (as long as they have been vaccinated - which most of them have - or had the Evil Virus and recovered, or can produce a certificate that they have tested negative for COVID within the past 48 hours).  Not only that - they have already scheduled an end-of-the-season concert in July! Mummy is over the Hill Moon (mol)!

And it seems that Spring is here at last. Temperatures this week are expected to top 30 degrees Celsius! Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!  Everything's coming up roses!

Happy Gotcha Day, Caspurr: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies

It is I, Sir Caspurr the Courageous, Furrst of My Name, Purrtector of the Realm (that is a New Title Mummy has bestowed upon Me), Commander-in-Chief of the Impurrial Forces, King of the Tigger-Tabbies!


It is, by rights, Trixie's turn to star in the Caturday Art and Sunday Selfies blog hops this week (hosted by, respectively, the Lovely and Wise Athena and her HuMum, Marie, and the Amazing and Unpredictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet). But since today is a Furry Special Day for Me, She graciously de-furred to Me.

Today is My Gotcha Day. Yes, Anipals - eight years ago TODAY, Mummy gotcha-ed Me. Well, the Truth is, I gotcha-ed Mummy (mol). I remember her taking Me in Her arms and asking Me if I would like to come home with her and be Her Kitty and live with her for EFFUR and I just purred and purred. I was a furry tiny kitty then, just about a month old, and I don't suppose I really understood what was going on. I just knew I felt safe and loved in Her arms.  And a couple of days later, my Foster Mummy brought Me round to my New Home and the rest, as they say, is History. Well, actually, it's MYstery (My Story. Get it? Get it? MOL!)

We actually have quite a lot of Celebrating to do this week.  Besides My Gotcha Day today, Thursday is Israel's Independence Day, and next Shabbat (April 17th) is Shimshi's 7th birthday. We are going to be celebrating all three of these meowmentous events on Thursday, with a stupendous Barbecue up in the Enchanted Forest overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem, starting at 2 pm Israel time and going on far into the night. We hope to see you there. (Any volunteers ready to come early and help set up the Bar will be greatly appurreciated.)

Now, the picture above was taken this meowning after breakfast, when I was having a little snooze in my Favourite  Post-Breakfast Snooze Spot, in the Laundry Basket, which is in the Utility Room and catches the Meowning Sunshine to Purrfection.  Mummy artified it with the Watercolour Effect from Luna-Pic, set to 50%.

Messi Is Not The Easter Bunny: Caturday Art and Sunday Selfie

Greetings, Effurrybody!

We are sorry We missed last week's Blog Hops. It was Pessach (Passover) and Mummy was furry busy with Other Things and hardly had the Computer on at all! She did find time, however, to visit Grandpaw and Step-Grandma, and Our Woofie Uncle, Messi - of whom She took several photos. We have decided, therefore, since he doesn't have a bloggie of his own, to feature Messi as Our Guest Entry in the Caturday Art Blog Hop, hosted by the Wise and Beautiful Athena and her HuMum, Marie, as well as the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by the effur so Unpurrdictable Kitties Blue and their HuMom, Janet.
