Happy Pawrim

Hallo, Effurryone!

It's Me - Caspurr!

Guess what - it's Pawrim! When the Humans like to dress up in Fancy Dress. And some of them think that's a good enough reason for putting silly clothes on Innocent, Unsuspecting Kitties!

In the past, Mummy has actually managed to get us to pose in ridiculous hats, but this year, We were having none of it. So She had to find a photo editing programme that would enable her to display Us to the world in Fancy Dress. She tried using something called Photo Impression, which She has on her computer, but couldn't make it work. (Breathing a sigh of relief.) That's how I, Caspurr, King of the Tigger-Tabbies was saved from the Awful Fate of having to appear as a Mediaeval Knight. Instead, she used her WhatsApp Camera, which allows her to stick Accessories on her Victim. I think I got off quite lightly. All She did was stick a bow tie on Me:

Trixie, naturally, wanted to be Queen Esther, the heroine of the Pawrim story. She got her way, of course. She has no idea how narrowly she avoided being made into a Dutch flower girl (mol).

And last, but definitely not least, Shimshi, who actually would have liked to be a matador, had to content himself with purr-traying the Cat in the Hat:

How did you celebrate Pawrim?

Did your Humans make you wear Clothes?

Did you know it's a mitzvah, or religious duty, to get drunk on Pawrim?
So, if you'll excuse Us, the Catnip Punch is calling out to Us (mol).

HAPPY PAWRIM dear ones! And when you have the Catnip Punch, raise one up to me and I will do the same to you three. Come over in your tunnel today if you can do that because brovver is here and he LOVES kitties so you'd get extra petting and scritchies and treats too. Maybe he'll drink a glass of the Nip with you too.

Chag Purim Sameach! You all look great and you are lucky you didn't have to get dressed up. Emmy had to wear our Queen Esther costume :) I better go give her some nip.

Like you, we don't like wearing clothes either and the best clothes are virtual ones. Happy Pawrim!

Happy Purim!!!!!! Well, we are probably maybe 2 of maybe a handful of Jewish readers and nope, we don't celebrate Purim. But......I DO LOVE hamantaschen!!!
Does your Mom make the poppy seed kind? That is my Mom's fave!!! I don't like wearing clothes (since I am a cat) and if I did, I'm a boy so I wouldn't dress like a Queen. :)

Mummy is too lazy to make her own hamantaschen. She buys them from a shop. She prefers the kind with date filling.

We don't celebrate Purim or dressing up, but any holiday that has good food and drinking sounds like one we'd enjoy.....we're multi-denominational in that regard! St. Patrick's Day is a fine drinking holiday, then we celebrate chocolate at Easter, and great Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo. Looking at a Jewish calendar, I think we might have to celebrate Tu B'Shevat. Any celebration of trees and all they give us is good!

We hope you had a very happy Purim, sweet friends! At our human's work, they had delicious hamentashen to help celebrate!

Chocolate, hmmm. We have heard it is delicious. Mummy certainly seems to like it (mol). But She says it is not at all good for Pussycats, so We never get any.

Dressed up as a knight, huh? Hmmm... Might not have been quite so bad. A cat might enchant a beautiful princess ladycat with an outfit like that. purrs

That is sad, but maybe she can find another Temple. There are always at least two, Mummy says - the one where you pray and the one wild horses couldn't drag you to (that is a Jewish joke, Mummy says).
