Another Week Flies By

Hallo, Effurrybody!

It's been a while since our last blog, because Mummy (very inconsiderately) decided to write her own blog before helping Us. Imagine that!!! What could She have to say that's so impawtant, it needs to be written before Our Weekly Reports? All she did was post pictures of some statues!

Anyway, she says maybe some of you (or your Mummies and Daddies) would like to drop by there and look at the pretty pictures, before she gets back to her usual subjects, which are mostly pawlitical.

Talking of Pictures - she has been purr-suing Us non-stop with her Flashy Box this week. Does the concept of Purr-ivacy mean nothing these days?! One can't even make one's toilette or have a little catnap without the Paparazzi turning up on one's doorstep!

How do you like Caspurr's blankie? It's hard to tell where the blankie ends and Caspurr begins, isn't it? (mol). It used to be My blankie, but I think it suits him much better, don't you? Besides, I sleep on the Bed, next to Mummy.

Speaking of Caspurr - he does Me (his Teacher) great credit. He passed his Elementary Level Birdwatching exams with flying colours, so I judged him ready to progress to the Intermediate Level. He does still have a tendency to be over-excitable, but I see this as a sign of his immense enthusiasm for the subject:

However, he needs to learn that climbing the mesh screens will not bring the Birdies any closer and will, in fact, lead only to the creation of holes in the screen which will allow those pesky mosquitoes in (not to mention upsetting Mummy).

Caspurr really enjoys playing with all my old toys, which I have grown out of. For my own entertainment, Mummy has provided some cardboard boxes which are not only great for hiding in, but also for exercising my formidable claws:

I would like to add a word about My Pupil's "company manners". Mummy had all her family (about 14 people) round for a buffet lunch on Shavuot and her little nieces (the twins who are 9 and the Littlest One, who is 6) were absolutely entranced by Caspurr, who let them pet him and stroke him without the least embarrassment. Now, I wouldn't dream of letting strangers paw Me like that on our very first meeting, but that's a Mancat for you. I am happy to say that I remembered I am a Ladycat - with the emphasis on Lady! I was purr-fectly polite, but I made it clear that our acquaintance is, as yet, too slight to purr-mit of such familiarity. As for the next time - well, we shall have to wait and see.

Have a Good Week, Effurrybody!

Shouldn't it be pa-purr-zzi - or maybe pa-paw-razzi?

Caspurr on that blanket...! OMC, what a shot. What a belly! And climbing the screen--our human burst out laughing.

And then your gorgeous floofy tail...it's almost too much to bear.

It sounds like your tutelage of Caspurr is going quite well, Trixie. Bravo!

We gasped (then laughed) when we saw that picture of him climbing the screen. We can understand why your Mummy doesn't want him doing that.

Climbing the screen? Oh no no no Caspurr! Mustn't do that! Thank goodness I haven't tried that yet I heard Mommy say! Because I can be naughty too.

Caspurr did you let the v-e-t cut your claws? If you do, you may not want to climb the screens any more. When my claws get long (I won't let mommy cut them) she hauls me off to the v-e-t for a trimming.

Caspurr's blankie suits him purrfectly. I truly could not tell where he was immediately. I had to keep looking. (I love sports on a tummy).

See you soon, naughty boy! xxoo
